| Hey! The Nashville Ukulele Society performed it's first gig at a local Folktale Festival last Saturday (May 3rd). The weather was perfect, our ukulele ensemble was well received and we had a load of fun. A great first gig. One of our group had a digital camera out and got a bit of video footage. It's not hi-fi but it gives you a rough idea of how we sounded. For anyone who is interested, you can check it out on the NUkeS blog at http://www.nashukes.blogspot.com |

Ah Haptown, how good to hear from you again! And that video sure conveys the feeling of a wonderful day of spring & music! Very nice playing!

Hey Jeanette!!
I only peek in at the bulletin board from time to time. Too much to do and not enough time to do it all. And I wish I could take the credit for that uke playing but that was not me, I'm the one playing the snare with the brushes. The guy playing the uke is a really amazing uke player (and guitar player too). There are a few of us who take turns playing the snare and bass - that way we can all get to do what we really want to do - play our ukes!
Thanks for the kind words and it's nice to hear from you as well.
Andy (aka Haptown)

| Aha, that explains it! I was watching those brushes and saying by myself: now *that's* a drummer who really tries not to overpower the uke! :-) Too bad we don't see more of you! And good to know you're still going on.
