I recently purchased Eric Bibb's CD "Diamond Days" (sorry, he's a guitar player), whom I discovered via hokeypokey's post on this board. http://www.fleamarketmusic.com/bulletin/bulletin-single.asp?popup=true&BulletinID=21607

In any case, there is a flash video on this CD where Bibb visits a guitar shop in Paris (the shop sign just says "Luthier"), and he spies this small Martin Parlor. As the camera angles down, you can see the Fluke uke headstock in the corner. Sadly, though, Bibb apparently took no interest in the Fluke. This flash video is mentioned in the above thread.

This guy has a great energy and I highly recommend his music to anyone looking for something special.

The shop is most probably the R&F Charle shop (www.rfcharle.com), in the Galérie Vero-Dodat 17, near the Louvre. The shop, its contents and its owners (both luthiers) are magnificent, and François Charle is considered the utmost expert on Selmer gypsy-jazz guitars.

They carry a varied range of ukuleles. Besides Fleas, Flukes, Bushmans, Martins, Kalas and Risas they also carry antique ones (Gibsons) and luthier-made ones (Chevalier, Donmo, Beltona and PAUCP).

Thanks for that link, Karcsi. That is quite a nice little shop with some beautiful ukes and guitars.

And, hoaryhead, I have to agree with you. Eric Bibb is great. He and Keb Mo are two of my favorites. Their styles are very similar. The Diamond Days CD takes me back to Keb Mo's self titled debut CD

Yep, that's the shop!
