To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original "We Are the World" recording, we rounded up ukulele-playing volunteers from around the world to contribute a line to the song. Hope you like our efforts:

Thanks so much for the nice comments! Really appreciate it!
In case you're curious about how this was done, here are the basic steps:
1. I made a "guide video" that would set the tempo and key for the song, sort of like setting up a frame for others to build on. The guide video also included the lyrics divided into numbered lines. Here's the guide video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMspUgjQJyY
2. I assigned parts to each of the people who volunteered to participate and had each person shoot their own video of their section. In some cases, these people made special video, including clones of themselves and Smurfs.
3. The participants uploaded their video clips to a file storage website like MediaFire which allowed Sebi and me to download the files.
4. I worked on the audio first, adding each voice to the audio in the guide video and taking care to make sure the volume of each individual voice was roughly the same.
5. When the audio was done, I sent it to Sebi, who then had the meticulous task of synchronizing video and audio and creating the window section for the chorus.
It was time-consuming just communicating with all the participants, but I enjoyed seeing the idea gradually become reality!

Every time I view this video I see something new. There is more than meets the eye at first. Just one example is that rolling over the lower right hand corner of the screen reveals the YouTube screen name of the current player. Clicking on that name takes you to the player's YouTube home page. Nifty!

John, I am so slow on the uptake (not online, big fraud case) but spotted this at last.
This production was so wonderful - enormous work and coordination. Your gifts make me happy. Thanks John.
