For your continued fun and bemusement, or if you haven't had the chance to experience the mastery of the Pawn Stars finely honed evaluation of the well known instrument, here is the link to the entire segment.

Enjoy!

That is just sad from every angle. The orignal owner has tried to spin in his grave but has only made it 180 degrees and there his tears fall. Nice grandson "I can't play and it has no sentimental value". You deserve the 200.00 rip off the "PawnStar" gave you. And lastly, a good lesson, take those antique ukuleles to a ukulele expert not a guitar shop guy.

Let me try to enlighten the ukulele community about what's going on here. Pawn Stars TV series is in actuality a promotional bit of Las Vegas schtick. Even though the pawn shop itself is legit all else that goes on in the show may not be. I've lived and worked in Las Vegas for around 40 years. There is a lot of smoke and mirrors in this town. If you noticed the banjo uke was taken to a vintage guitar shop that I wouldn't give two cents worth of my business to. Especially when you see their inventory and the asking prices. What is going on here is one Las Vegas business going to another Las Vegas business. Can you say, "promote Vegas"? It's sad that the ukulele community is hindered by this BS and have to put up with people now wanting a fortune for their piece of crap banjo ukes that according to the pawn shop owner: could be worth a thousand dollars. It wouldn't surprise me that the guy who brought in the ukulele was really one of the production crew. Caveat emptor!!
