| Wow! If you ever get a chance to see him live, don't miss it. He's a true virtuoso and SO genuine and unassuming on stage. A real treat, a great evening. My wife loved it, too. Thank you, Jake. |

| After seeing him live a few years back, both Cali and I weren't sure if we were going to give up the ukulele or just practice a whole lot harder....

| I've seen him a couple times, and I must say that his CDs are fantastic, but seeing him live is a category of its own.

| As you listen to him talk (Aladdin theatre-Ptlnd,Oregon)he shares not just his music, he shares himself. It is something to watch him with the audience after the show. He genuinely talks to people and looks at them eye to eye. He remembered he had written on a DRAGON cd to our 1Lt dau and her platoon two years ago. When we handed him the LIFE cd we told him she was just promoted to Captain. He wrote her a note on the front of it. When I told him he was my birthday present, he laughed and apologised for missing it last year. He is a delight on and off stage.

I've seen him three times in Austin's Cactus Cafe. The first time, he only played four tunes, but they were with guitarist Tommy Emanuel and the audience gave them a couple of standing O's in the MIDDLE of Tommy's set.
The most recent time I saw him, I noticed several audience members had brought their ukes to the show. Can you imagine an audience member bringing a guitar to an Eric Clapton concert, or a violin to a Joshua Bell concert? I wondered if they were going to rip off a few chords with Jake, but no, they just wanted an autograph on their uke.
Sad to say, the Cactus Cafe is located in the Univ of Texas Student Union Bldg and the UT board is planning to close it. There has been a huge outcry against this.

| Saw Jake in Phoenix this past January. Dragged my wife along and I think she went just to humor me. I thought she would be politely bored but she ended up really enjoying it. The chatter between songs was very entertaining and he has a wonderful stage presence. I knew I was going to enjoy hearing him play, but I didn't know I was going to enjoy the whole show so much.
