I am devastated to see that the web domain of the late and greatly missed John King is parked and may be lost forever.
Nalu-music.com should stand as an inspiration for new players, a tonic for the jaded muzo and a permanent monument for this wonderful player.
If you know of any way to contact the people necessary to renew this site, I urge you to please do so, and save the work of a great man for future players.
I was pointed to your site by Mike Da Silva who kindly responded immediately to my frantic email sent earlier today an suggested I post here.
I am on record as saying I will personally pay the domain registration fees to see the site saved. |

Hey there. I started a thread on Ukulele Underground about this last week, pretty much expressing the same sentiment. (I'd link to it but the UU forums are down for maintenance right now.) I've emailed a couple of associates of Mr King to let them know that the interest is out there. As of yet, no reply.
In the meantime, much of the Nalu Music site can be accessed via the Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.nalu-music.com

| Just got an email from Mrs King. She has just renewed the domain and it is already back up and running.

YESSS, it's up & running again! Mucho mahalo to Mrs. King! I too recently discovered the site seemed to be gone and felt sad about that. I'm very, very grateful to Mrs. King for restoring it.
The two Johns and how we miss them.

As good a result as we could have wished for! - Thanks to all who replied (especially you janeray1940 - nice to know there are others out there!); I am a recent all all-too-tardy convert to Johns way of playing. It would be sad indeed had we lost his work in addition to losing the man.
My only hope is that Mrs King derives some small comfort from all the people who have acted on this, and who have such a high regard for her late husband.
A big "Cheers La!" from this scouser!

| I like his translations of classical music on the uke. I miss his website and I hope it comes back on the web.

| I do a little hosting for friends and family and have west coast co-located facilities (past life as a unix/linux software dev/architect/sysadm). I'd be willing to host John's site pro-bono as long as John's family kept the domain name active ( and i can wiggle my fingers ;) )

A very nice, and generous, offer William...I hope someone passes this along to the King family. You are a good guy.
Regards,
Wm.
