This is one for Gerald Ross to show the gang at Steel Guitar Forum.
Oops, never mind! It's already been spotted over there too and some wag has dubbed it the "ukenbacher". Quite a curiosity though. It almost looks like nylon strings in some pics, but that wouldn't go well with the horseshoe magnet. And no control pots?

| It must have been designed for steel strings. That pickup wouldn't work with nylon or gut. Anybody know if it's made of metal or wood?

| Looks like aluminium (I'm English!) to me. I wonder if they cast a few to test the water for a BAKELITE soprano. Too bad old Adolph never put one of those into production.
