For all you Bay Areans, there's a
great show at the Freight and
Salvage coffee house tonight
(Aug. 27) in Berkeley. Check out
the link (and remove spaces):
http://www.freightandsalvage.co
m/2003/august/info_27.html. If
you do go, say aloha if you see
me: I'll be the guy with the
pineapple Fluke looking for
autographs. |

Just got back from this show, and
WOW!
The New Generation are amazing.
David Kamakahi is a true virtuoso
on the uke, I was utterly floored.
And Tom is as nice a guy face to
face as he is online. Moreso,
actually. And he got his fluke
signed! :)

Thanks, Jenn. The feeling's
mutual. Hey everybody, if this
show makes its way to your
town, you've got to check it out.
David Kamakahi and Herb Ohta
Jr. really rip it up. The show is
going to Redwood City tonight,
then down to San Diego. Next
year, they're taking it to Maine!

They're planning a spring tour
with a Seattle stop. Whoo-hoo!

Pauline, you're in for a treat! I still
can't shake the rapturous feeling
I got when the two slack-key
guitarists backed up the two
ukulele players (Herb Ohta Jr.
and David Kamakahi) as they
covered Santana's "Europa."
Pure magic.
