The Player directory here lists only 3 uke players in the Cleveland area. Send 'em an email and see who's available for some uke jammin'. Cheers!

From their main page:
"We are constantly looking for new and
seasoned players who love the ukulele as
much as we do.
Our goal is to promote, play and entertain
with the ukulele. Our hope is that our seasoned members can teach new members while newer members bring timely ideas to the group to promote growth.
Are you interested in joining us?"
Here's their organizer's website:

There's a uke group that plays at the Coventry branch of the Cleveland Heights library. I believe they meet on the last Tuesday of the month. I've never heard of the Cleveland Ukulele Orchestra, and their web site's under construction so I can't tell you anything about them.

Surfink,
This Saturday, there's a great little music festival in Burton, OH, which would be about a 45 minute to a one-hour ride on the east side of Cleveland. It's held in a very nice restored pioneer village setting and there's some very fine musicians in the line-up this year. The Dust Busters, a fine old time string band from Brooklyn will be there. Everytime they come town there's a wonderful jam and ukes are welcome. Pat Conte will also be there with Little Brother, a killer very old school country blues band. Here's the link http://raccooncountymusicfestival.com/.

No problem, Surfink. If you can make it there will be some very fine musicians there. I live on the west side of town and if my schedule frees up let's try get together.
Are you on the film crew in town?
