Jim Beloff (Jumpin’ Jim songbooks; The Joy Of Uke DVDs) introduces you to the basics of playing the ukulele including holding, tuning, strumming and making the chords. We will play through a dozen well-known songs learning new chords, strums, tips and techniques along the way. Bring a GCEA soprano-tuned uke and be ready to have a lot of fun. At the end of the workshop you will have made a new life-long friend—your ukulele! See uke there!

Ukulele Mass Appeal - Make Music NY
Make Music NY and the NY Ukulele Salon strum in the summer solstice with a four-hour concert and play-along with some of the best performers on the NY uke scene.
Make Music NY is part of a worldwide music celebration, with 1,000+ concerts around the city.
The uke players have a great location: Union Square, as part of the Green Market (northeast corner of the park).
The event is a Monday, so it starts at 4pm and continues till dark.
Lots of chances to strum along, so bring your ukes!

On Sunday, June 27th, he will be at the Apple Valley Community Center (14603 Hayes Road, Apple Valley) putting on an ukulele seminar focusing on right hand techniques and simple ukulele solos. The workshop will run from 1:30 to 3:00, with a refreshment break and concert to follow. It is scheduled to be over by 5:00 PM.

Beginning/Intermediate Lap Steel in C6 tuning with Gerald Ross - an entire week of instruction and jamming. C6 is 'the' sound you hear in Western Swing and Post WWII Hawaiian music. It also works great for early Country and 30's, 40's Swing/Jazz tunes.
