Abe Lagrimas, Jr.’s second solo ukulele album release, “Ukulele Vibes”, is an ambitious new recording featuring the artist on both ukulele and vibraphone. Lagrimas is a virtuoso on both instruments and his jazz roots are on display in the album's nine original songs. His uke technique (he is a Ko'olau endorsed artist) is impeccable---clean and clear and blends beautifully with the vibes. The opening track "Cookies and Ice Cream" sets the bar especially high with it's tricky rhythms but every track is a gem. “Ukulele Vibes” is a must for fans of jazz ukulele.
