I teach basic ukulele to kids at the church I serve as pastor. I just purchased an inexpensive Makala ukulele from musicguymic at his ebay store for a student whose parents couldn't afford to buy one for her. For only $50 (including shipping from Hawaii) I got a really pretty uke with geared tuners (kids need these) Aguila strings and Musicguymics setup. It sounds great and has a cool look kids like.
I had one of my other student's parents purchase a slightly better model a few months ago from musicguymic and that one is great too.
I recommend musicguymic. |

"I recommend musicguymic."
Most of us do also, Chuck. You are "Preaching to the choir." ;-)

I'm sure that uke will serve her well. It's a great thing you are doing for her.
