How many Longworth ukes are floating around out there? Any Longworth owners here? I had the opportunity to play one once, not only did it sound great but it was beautiful too.

Hay bftd,
What do you mean you miss Robert, has he passed on?
Posted By: Guest_Uncle Rufus Date: 4/7/2006
He's certainly passed on his knowledge from time to time (slaps thighs and hollers with uproarious mirth). Still very much with us.

No he hasn't "passed on". But if you compare how much he used to post here to how much he posts now, you'll understand what I mean.

I have two Longworth Ukes plus a couple that he ticked out for me to make them look like K5s

Wonder if this thread is still active? I recently acquired a Longworth ukulele. It is marked as #17, build in Oct 2000. Dave, I couldn't find the ultimate ukulele collection website ... is it down?

This is Ernest Longworth Mike's Brother. I have one of Mikes ukuleles Mike called it the walnut. It's nice to see people still remember the great craftsman He was along with being a fine person and the best brother anyone could have. I wish I could play it,but Mike got all the talent in the family. I really do miss him. Ernest

It appears that Daves' ultimate collection site has been aquired by domain scalpers.
