Hello Flea Market Music Ukulele Community! My name is Ryan and I'm posting on FMM on behalf of Bernunzio Uptown Music, a vintage/new/used stringed instrument shop in Rochester NY. Some of you may have noticed a few ukuleles that I posted in the Marketplace section (a Johnny Marvin tenor, Eastman Soprano Uke, Stella Banjo Uke, and a beautiful vintage Martin Style 1). I'll be posting new/used/vintage ukes that I find particularly interesting/obscure/excellent. Finally, if you're ever in Rochester on the first Thursday of every month, be sure to check out our Rochester Ukulele Support Group! -Ryan

Hi Ryan, good to have a stream of (hopefully) interesting ukes put in the classifieds. My only hope is you don't consider this just another retail market, flooding the classifieds with Martin Style-0s at 650, or nice Gibson tenors at 1295.
My hope is that you use these classifieds thoughtfully, not just as another venue for retail rape. Blunt, but truthful, how you act here will speak volumes to those unfamiliar with Bernunzio's.

Btw, a Gibson Ub-1 is roughly 3-500 dollars, so confidence is already tested.. Oh heck, maybe yours is still mint with hang tags..

Welcome Ryan. One of my all-time favorite ukes, a deluxe Maui Music concert, came from your shop. It's now in the collection of another FMM member. I share Neal's hope that you'll use the Marketplace thoughtfully. One suggestion: Don't post so many instruments that you crowd out all the other sellers. That would be bad etiquette. And if you're advertising run-of-the-mill production ukes at full retail price, well ... that's what your website is for, isn't it? How about using the Marketplace to give us a head's up ... or even first dibs ... on unusual instruments that pass through your shop? A Fleamarket discount would go a long way to sharing the love, too! :)
(And Neal, that's a snake-head trapdoor Gibby banjo. Rarer than a UB-1, I think.)

Hello everyone, thank you for your responses. I will limit my posts to ukuleles that I feel are interesting/rare. I was just informed that I'll be limited to two posts in the marketplace per month, so rest assured this is not another commercial marketplace for us here at Bernunzios. Thanks again for the feedback, and looking forward to spending time on Flea Market Music. Thanks, Ryan
