What are your opinions on radius fretboards vs non-radius? Trying to decide whether to purchase a Pono baritone pro-classic (radius) or a standard model. I've varying opinions about the differences.

To me, it's a matter of price. I love radiused fretboards, but when I was looking at Pono baritones, the pro-classics were so much more expensive that I opted for a used Pono MB without the radius. Between the adjustable truss rod and the fine instrument set-up done on that uke, I've never had an easier-playing baritone. It's hard for me to imagine that the radius, which Pono says is very slight, could have made that much difference. But for someone with a different playing style, maybe it would. YMMV.

It all depends on what feels comfortable and right. I cut my musical teeth on a Fender guitar neck with tight 9.5" radius, and even on a small uke, a totally flat fretboard just doesn't feel right. But for others, flat does the job. If you can play and compare, it's a good idea.
