Anyone know how Martin came up with that headstock shape now so synonymous with ukes? I'm having this discussion on the Martin uke page on FB. |

Both Kumalae and Nunes had three-pointed crown headstocks before Martin. Theirs had the three points lined up on a single height, and Nunes varied a lot, and sometimes even took a wave-shape.
Martin also varied its ukulele headstock a few times, that's well documented Tom Walsh-John King book.
