Hi to all my ukulele friends from the past and hopefully to all newer players and lovers of this beautiful instrument. Long story short, I've struggled with 3 surgeries, not being able to walk for awhile and my left arm has neurological damage letting me fret an instrument only for a few minutes. Hence, I'm forced to begin downloading my beloved collection of ukes, but I'm starting with my Breedlove mandolin and guitar. I also have a 1960's ladies Guiletti accordian that has a resonance that's ideal for a players dream sound. It plays perfect. I also have a composit cutaway carbon fiber Travel guitar that's like new. I have not been able to learn guitar or mandolin, so my loss is definitely your gain. Let me know if any of these are of interest, and it might take a week to determine which ukuleles I can sell (even the thought of this makes me sad). No pix yet on the ukes, but see the mandolin and the guitar is coming. It's SO nice to be back on here. |

Aloha Jeannie, so sorry to hear. I pray you find a silver lining to your condition. I've learned to get along with back issues for decades to where I'm just used to being less physical and consider it like an old friend (until I have an episode) but I'm sure nothing like what you have and I know that Ukes are such an important part of your life.
I saw your ad in the marketplace.
I'm sure you sold that cool William King tenor I inquired about a few years ago? Didn't you have another King?
I always am on the lookout for King's ukes just because its an old habit.

Hey from Texas Jeannie! Good to hear from you, but so sad for your medical issues. Hopefully you can find a way to keep playing those special ukes. I'm going to go hug mine now.

Hug all your ukes everyone. SO, I have over a dozen gorgeous ukes and last week I got them all out and put them in my living room as some symphony playing violinists wanted to get a ukulele. I only have one fluke and one flea that fall within the realm of 'decent' priced ukuleles for uneducated players. Still good, but I sent them away a bit mind-boggled on how nice ukuleles can really be. Still trying so hard to get something 'listed' here and elsewhere. It's like a Mother trying to get rid of her children!
As I looked at them every day and tried to decide which ones to sell, Dr. Phil had a "hoarding" show on. They said (get this); the first sign of hoarding is putting your items out in the middle of the room! I gasped! Could it be? After lots of thinking, I guess I am keeping some beautiful instruments out of players hands who could really enjoy them. So, I'll start listing....... I think :)
