UKULELE TEACHER TRAINING MASTERCLASS

Presented in conjunction with the 17th Annual UkeFest, we offer a full day of instruction and sharing in best practices for ukulele teachers of all levels. This master class will help beginning teachers as well as experienced teachers interested in expanding their teaching horizons.

STRATHMORE UKEFEST 2025
Start planning your summer learning and perfecting your ukulele skills! UkeFest Artistic Directors Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer return along with Aaron Keim, Jim Beloff, Daniel Ho, and Jeff Peterson for 5 days dedicated to this small-but-mighty instrument.
Registration includes 8 hours of skill-based classes, 9 hours of choose-your-own classes, jam sessions, admission to the student and instructor showcase, and a grand finale Live from the Lawn performance. For those looking for intensive skill development, Strathmore’s UkeFest is the only program of its kind that offers an advanced track.

For the ukulele enthusiast who would like to learn how to play. Participants must be age 10 or older and bring a GCEA-tuned ukulele. Enroll with your child or friend and enjoy some island vibes at the Kate! Space is limited.

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Uke Workshop at The Kate
For those who know a handful of chords and a basic up/down strum. This is the chance to take your skills to a new level. A dozen well-known songs will be played while learning more chords, new fingerings, new strums, transposing on the fly and performance tips and techniques along the way.
