There seem to be more choices now for adapters that allow the Zoom H2/H4, and other flash recorders, to be attached to the boom of a mic stand via the recorder's tripod mount. I especially like the articulated ones that can be adjusted to any angle.

Does anyone have any experience with one of these adapters for an H4? Will the adapter work on the boom of most mic stands?

I use the Edirol OP-R09M mic stand adapter with my H4 and it works beautifully.

I have the CM 01 and use it to mount a Zoom Q 3 to a mic stand. Other times I use a small camera tripod.

A setup should be fairly heavy for use onstage so item doesn't crash to the floor.

The H2 comes with a cylinder that screws into the bottom, so that it slips into a standard mic stand adapter.

My H4n also came with a cylinder that screws into the bottom and can slip into a mic stand's adapter. I have only used it with a straight stand that's got a heavy base. But it works great.

Wiley - the adapter you linked to looks like it would work, but I am not sure if the additional articulation is really necessary. Personally, I would be nervous that the stand would tip over.

I also have the CM 01 and highly recommend it. I use it to record all my videos.

Looks like you H2 folks already have a solution... I did't know the the screw-in cylinder is included. Cool!

It looks like the CM-01 is working well for some folks with the H4. Sold!

Also, I'm going to get the On-Stage Mic Stand Extension Bracket (MY-550), on the recommendation from another H4 user. The bracket works with the CM-01, and it also works on a conventional tripod with my video camera.

I think I'm covered. Thanks all for the suggestions.
