KoAloha Pineapple Sunday
I am selling this KoAloha Pineapple Sunday - as many of you know, these are very rare, and part of Papa KoAloha's masterpiece collection.
It is a laser etched top, and the koa is a beautiful golden blonde. It sounds beautiful, and is strung with Worth clears (I think they are...they could be KoAloha brand strings). It was a factory second, because (as you can see from the photos), it has the fret dot marker for the 12th fret mistakenly placed on the 13th fret. Interestingly, the label does not have a black mark on it marking it as a second.
It has the straight style bridge, and koa binding. The abalone fret dots are a beautiful turqouise, and the neck has a couple of chocolate colored swirls in it.
I will include a hard case with it, and you have a choice of two cases to pick from. Please note though I have a separate online listing for my Ameritage case, so if that sells first, this ukulele will come with the Lanikai case.
Just be aware, the Lanikai one is too large to fit a Pineapple Sunday properly, so I am covering the ukulele in cloth bindings to protect it. You will probably need a new case when you get the ukulele.
Note: the Pineapple Sunday retails new for $1500 and I saw one listed for $1250 that was from the exact same batch (Papa accidentally made about 10 or 12 of them with the fret dot marker in the wrong spot) so this is a great deal! The Ameritage case (complete with humidifier) also retails for $290 but if you buy both, you are getting it for only $200!

Nice LoPrinzi Nova _ mahogany tenor
Another "I'll never sell this" ukulele! Sweet tone, easy player,good volume and projection. This Nova is all mahogany with the double puke soundholes, a reddish tint, nice Grover friction tuners, stunning. The size, weight and balance remind me of my Gibson tenor. Currently strung with D'Addario "Jake" strings. I have really enjoyed this uke but the UAS got out of control so I need to thin out some of the tenors. I am lazy today so I pulled these pics off the web, mine has black binding on the back, sides and soundhole. If you really have to see it I'll set up the studio and put some more pics up. Excellent condition, no repairs, cracks, damage, no knicks or dings, but it is used and maybe 4 years old so I'm sure if you look close you'll find some evidence of play. I think LoPrinzi offers this only in walnut finish now with geared tuners for $825.00, mine actually is closer to the model 2 in the Nova shape, the model 2 sells for $1100.00. I was told this particular uke was an intro at NAAM some years back, maybe the first one, I can't confirm that. Label calls it a model #2, serial number #3498 Any questions feel free to email. William King Soprano
I am selling a William King custom Soprano - redwood and koa, with an ebony fingerboard, ivory position markers, ebony saddle and nut and rosewood binding, faceplate and thin ring rosette. Nunes style body and figure eight head plate. Finished in hand rubbed lacquer, fitted with PegHed™ geared tuning pegs, and strung with Worth fluorocarbon strings.
I intentionally asked William to make it without a logo on the head stock to give it a more classic look.
Original price was around $1,300 but am willing to sell it at a significant discount as my biggest interest right now is to get it in the hands of someone who will play. Am seeking $1,000.
It is a great instrument, very handsome, very deep and strong voice. I will admit that it is getting neglected because another uke has truly stolen my heart - but this instrument deserves a home that will put it to good use.

T-28 Tiple - Yasuma
T-28 style tiple by the Yasuma Company in Nagoya Japan in amazing condition. This is a remarkably faithful reproduction of a Martin T-28 tiple. If you've read the Uke Yak about Yasuma ukes and tiples, you will know that they are extremely high quality construction with tone that rivals Martin. This lovely tiple has spruce top with 7-ply edge binding and 11-ply (!) soundhole rosette. Sides and back are beautiful grain rosewood with herringbone detailing (just like a Martin D-28 guitar) and ivoroid binding and heel cap. Neck is straight with extended rosewood fretboard (18 frets) with 4 pearloid fret markers and 6 side markers. Finish is nearly perfect -- no scratches or dings of note. Only a couple of minor issues: a slight gap in the binding that can be easily glued; and a tight 3" crack in the soundboard adjacent to the fretboard (only visible from about 2 feet). I spoke to a luthier about repairing the crack and he said that he wouldn't do it given how good the finish is and how stable the crack appears to be. Includes vintage lined case. This is a wonderful tiple and a fantastic value!

Martin Tenor T-1 (c. 1963) 14-Fret Neck. Very Near Mint!
Collectors and players, here it is! An all-original Martin Tenor with a 14-fret neck in nearly perfect condition. 26 and 3/8 inches overall length. W/B/W rosette. Faux-tortoise front & back binding. Dot markers on both the front & side of the fretboard at positions 5, 7, 10, 12, 15. Excellent finish except for a couple of tiny nicks, and one 1/4 inch surface scratch on the back. No cracks, no splits, no checking. Seams are all tight. Tuners work perfectly. Pin-style bridge. Strung with Worth clear fluorocarbon strings. Comes with a bluish-gray case with the name "Coast/Los Angeles" on it. The vintage instrument dealer I bought this Martin from dated it 1963, and said it was the cleanest, sweetest Martin tenor they had ever seen. I agree. Reducing my collection and this Martin is the hardest one to let go of, but I am happy that someone else will be able to enjoy this fine ukulele. Sorry about the fuzzy fotos. Koaloha Concert, 1999, all solid koa, mint condition!
SOLD-- I am selling my Koaloha Concert ukulele. It is a pretty scarce version, stamped Dec. 1999 on the neck block. It has a round soundhole, and an unusual headstock treatment, that has a relieved section along the top. When I talked to the folks at Koaloha, they said it identifies it as an early ukulele that was sold at the University of Hawaii Bookstore. It features a koa neck, one-piece koa top and back, and a single piece of koa for the sides. It has the original Koaloha tuners. Vintage Martin T-17 Tiple
1937 Martin T-17 (all mahogany) Tiple. SN: 68347
This is set up for playing. Saddle has been reset to improve intonation and a clear pick guard has been added to preserve the original finish – easily removed if preferred. This Tiple has no cracks or repairs. It is bright and loud with ideal playing action. Only significant blemish is the initials scratched into the lower bout and neck from some long ago owner...has some minor dings and scratches.
If you can play the uke, you can play the Tiple - same fingerings and the songs sound heavenly!

Leolani Mini Ukulele
I found this baby at a thrift store and changed out the stock strings for a set of Martin Fluorocarbons and tightened up the tuners! It stays in tune fairly well and sounds decent enough. I also changed the stock nut and saddle for a bone set from Mainland.
The uke is in decent condition, but it has some obvious scratching around the sound hole as if someone used a plastic pick on it and has a small black sludge on its bottom.

This is a beautifully made version of the soprano ukuleles made by Jonah Kumalae for the 1915 Panama-Pacific exhibition. I've handled originals, and this copy is not only an excellent copy, but was made by Kenny Hill from prime koa in his US workshop at the peak of his interest in ukuleles. It plays great, with wonderful action, no dings or cracks, or any negatives whatsover. Nice Cordoba uke listed on ebay.......item
# 230422318200......starting at 125.00. Bought earlier last fall from Guitar Center. I wanted to lower the action on the tusq nut and ended up cutting them too deeep. I made a new walnut wooden nut from scratch that works well. Acoustic electric with cutaway, and solid mahogony top. Websites says this uke is all solid but it looks like lam back and sides to me.....plays and sounds very good....strung with aquila nylgut high G and plays great. Will include saddle shims as action is nice and low ...unless you really strum hard you will not need to raise at the saddle but I will include some ovation style saddle shims if you want....I am sticking with my trusty flea concert since tenor seems closer to guitar size and I need to clean up basement storage for spring.....Anyhow check out the auction if interested. Cigar Box Ukulele - Concert Scale
Here is a new concert size cigar box ukulele. I call this one, "The Kitchen Sink" because of all found objects and scrapes used to make of the colorful mosaic of the fingerboard, head plate and bridge.
As is my preference for cigar box ukes, it is made from an old solid Western Red
Cedar 1886 cigar box (no plywood). There is a special sound that can only be produced from these boxes.
This uke has a voice which is very rich and mellow. The top is thinned and properly braced inside for lots of volume and plenty of sustain. The neck is Honduran mahogany. Colorful side dots on the 5th,
7th, 10th, 12th and 15th frets. The tuners are high quality Grover 4W chrome friction-type with handmade transparent plastic 'Lollipop' knobs in red, green, yellow and blue. Bone bridge saddle and nut. Gold Ko'olau brand concert strings are used. Lacquer finish.
The box measures 6" wide, 8 1/2" long and 2 5/8" deep. Overall length is 24". This is a
concert size uke with a 15" playing scale. 18 frets, all clear of the body. Easy low
playing action with a comfortable neck design. All wooden parts are handmade to fit this box, not parts from another uke. No case, but I will double box it for safe shipping. Built in the USA by Black Bear
