New Listing Ken Timms (UK) - Martin "0" Soprano
This is a brand new solid mahogany ukulele made in the classic style of the Martin “0” by Ken Timms from the UK. I literally just purchased this uke on March 3, 2010 and received it today. I have never seen one of these for sale on the FMM Marketplace, and Mr. Timms only sales them on eBay as he makes small batches of them. The craftsmanship, tone, and finish are top notch. The action is super low and the sound it super sweet! It comes with a brand new Guardian vintage-style arch-top hardcase with hygrometer ($60 value) - I will sale the uke for $375 without the case. You surely will enjoy this fine instrument upon first strum! Here is what Ken Timms writes about this uke: “Here is another Hand made Soprano Ukulele..Made by Ken Timms (Timbuck).....Here I have tried to reproduce the main features of the classic Martin Style "O" made in the years between 1920 to 1950's....Solid Mahogany Body and one piece back front and Neck ... "Dark Rosewood" fretboard with white polyester glass marker dots (The original Style O fretboard was Rosewood with Ivoroid dots)...Martin Spec: Dovetail Neck Joint....Ebony Saddle and Nut....Finish is Hand rubbed in Shellac/French Polish (Aimed to give that Vintage Look ) ...Fitted with Aquila Strings and Quality Tuners.... Here's a link to a review of one of my previous builds http://www.ukulelecosmos.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7540 And here a demo on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD9jr0frr94” Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

New Listing SOUTHCOAST Longneck Soprano
All solid wood Southcoast longneck soprano ukulele for sale. You may not be familiar with Southcoast. They are based in New Orleans and each of their ukes is handmade in limited quantities by master luthier Omar Corrales at his shop in San Jose, Costa Rica. They look, feel and play wonderfully. They’ve also started marketing their own brands of strings, which are great as well. I’m not associated with the company, but I do love their products. You can full information at their website www.southcoastukes.com (use Internet Explorer, doesn’t work well with Firefox). This is a prototype instrument produced in 2006. It was used as a guideline to help them develop their line, and has had a very limited amount of play. There are a few minor nicks/scratches, only noticeable upon close inspection, but the uke is in overall excellent shape. A little uneven coloring on fretboard up near headstock, but that's the wood grain, not a flaw. It’s a longneck soprano, regular soprano size sound box, but with a 15-inch concert scale neck with 18 frets. The soundboard is a spectacular looking piece of figured Spanish cedar (or Cedro). It really is a sight to behold, deep and warm, and this particular pattern is extremely rare. The back and sides are made of solid Caoba mahogany. It has a lovely gloss finish. The fretboard, hand carved bridge, headstock overlays and bottom-mounted strap peg are made from Katalox, which is a relative of Rosewood. Bone nut and saddle. Neck is made from Spanish cedar with carbon fiber reinforcement. The neck has a modified “V” profile like that of older Martin guitars. The Grover geared tuners are gold finished with jadeite knobs; the frets are gold finished as well. There are no fret markers on top of the fretboard by design (they like the uncluttered look), but there are side position markers made from sea snail. If you ordered a new copy of this instrument, it would cost around $1,000 and you’d have to wait a while, as Senor Corrales can only work so fast. Here you can have a beautiful handmade instrument at a great price. The only reason I am selling this one is that I have another almost identical model (which I absolutely love, BTW, and practically sleep with). I've attached some amateur photos, but this address has photos of what I’m fairly certain is the actual instrument I’m selling (again, view with Internet Explorer): http://www.southcoastukes.com/index_files/ccs2.htm It doesn’t have a case, but I am including a Herco humidifier and it will be shipped in very sturdy packaging. Price is $735 including shipping to COUS. Southern California residents can pick up in person for $720.

SOLDNew Listing Yasuma T-28 Tiple
T-28 style tiple by the Yasuma Company in Nagoya Japan in amazing condition. This is a remarkably faithful reproduction of a Martin T-28 tiple. If you've read the Uke Yak about Yasuma ukes and tiples, you will know that they are extremely high quality construction with tone that rivals Martin. This lovely tiple has spruce top with 7-ply edge binding and 11-ply (!) soundhole rosette. Sides and back are beautiful grain rosewood with herringbone detailing (just like a Martin D-28 guitar) and ivoroid binding and heel cap. Neck is straight with extended rosewood fretboard (18 frets) with 4 pearloid fret markers and 6 side markers. Finish is nearly perfect -- no scratches or dings of note. Only a couple of minor issues: a slight gap in the binding that can be easily glued; and a tight 3" crack in the soundboard adjacent to the fretboard (only visible from about 2 feet). I spoke to a luthier about repairing the crack and he said that he wouldn't do it given how good the finish is and how stable the crack appears to be. Includes vintage lined case. This is a wonderful tiple and a fantastic value!

New Listing FLEA SOPRANO UKULELE – ALMOST MINT!
Flea Soprano Uke in moonlight (deep blue) finish, only a few months old. I had the neck angles rounded off by a local luthier, so it is easy to play up the neck and is more comfortable for small hands. My dream mandolin found me unexpectedly, and the Flea must be sacrificed to herd thinning. (Photo is an identical model on Mandolin Brothers website.) Asking $150 shipped insured to the lower 48, including denim gig bag and starter booklet. PayPal only, please. For those who like to bargain on price, I also have a new set of Aquila strings, two uke picks, and two lightly used instruction books, Jumpin’ Jim’s Ukulele Tips & Tunes, and Mel Bay Songs & Solos for Uke. Not included in the above price, but negotiable.

New Listing FS: Harmony Roy Smeck Vita Uke
This is a very nice Vita uke with an unusual label. The top is in great shape, no cracks at all, the bridge has pulled up about 1mm where the knots go but is stable and should not go anywhere. The sides are perfect, there are a few cracks on the back, not repaired but stable. Plays well, tuners actually stay in tune. No case. I have only seen a few with this label but your guess is as good as mine to when it was made. Over all its in good shape for a Vita particularly the top.

New Listing Vintage Martin Style O Soprano #2 - 1940's
Hi, I have a second Martin Style O Soprano for sale. I think this one is from the 1940's, it has a vintage Bergstrom Honolulu music store sticker on the headstock back (which I believe is a old music store that's no longer around, I have 2 other old Martin's with this same sticker), T frets, black friction tuners, gold martin headstock decal and stamped on the inside: "CF Martin Co, Nazareth PA." Total length is about 21 inches, all mahog body, and ebony nut & saddle. No repairs and it's in good condition but there's 2 issues. First, on the front lower left, there's a ~1" crack from what looks to be a dent from where something bumped into it. In my humble opinion, the crack doesn't seem serious, it's really tight and stable. It doesn't go completely through the soundboard, just on the surface, and there's no movement when I press on the area. Second, on the front lower right, there's two lines about 1.5 to 2" inches long. They look like finish cracks to me because they don't go through the soundboard wood, there's no movement when I press on it and there's no light that goes through when I shine a flashlight on it. Besides that, there's very light finish crazing throughout and a few small dents/scuffs in the finish throughout the body (one below the bridge is pictured), nothing serious. Structurally it's stable, playable, sounds good and overall makes a good impression. Comes with a black cloth-hardshell case. Please email me with any questions or for more pics!

New Listing Vintage Martin Style O Soprano #1 - 1960's
Hi all, For your consideration is vintage Martin Style O soprano from the 1960's. No cracks or repairs and original finish is intact! It has T-frets, gold martin logo on the headstock and it's stamped on the inside with "CF Martin & Co. Nazareth PA Made in USA - all indicating that it's from the 60s. Total length is about 21 inches, all mahog body, white friction tuners, ebony nut & saddle. It's in very good condition, the biggest issue is that there's some water damage to the finish on the front/back of headstock. Happened before I owned it, so I haven't attempted to repair it. Seems purely cosmetic, it doesn't affect the playability, tuning or sound of the uke at all. Besides that, there's a pin-size chip on the back of the neck, a small light scuff at the junction of back & side, and some small scratches on the back of the neck (near 1st/2nd fret). Otherwise, it's pretty clean and structurally stable. Neck is straight and body joint is solid. Currently strung with Worth clear strings and comes with a light cloth-hardshell case. The white stuff on the back (in last picture) is just dust, please ignore it, there's no finish damage - the back is actually very clean. Please email me with questions or for more pics, thanks!

It was made by the Harmony Company in Chicago. It is labeled a tenor on the headstock, but it is really a concert scale (14 7/8") ukulele. Lots more photos and info on ebay listing. 1930's soprano, most likely a Bruno, but without markings. Very clean with a soft case. $175

Unknown Tenor Banjo uke with 8" pot and homemade resonator. 16" scale length. Very punchy with good tone. I'd estimate late 30's early 40's on this one, though the resonator is recent. $175

The queen of the crop: a 1930's Stromberg-Voisinet resonator banjo uke. Very, very clean almost no wear on the chrome. Pearloid headstock. Ebony fretboard. Inlaid resonator. $575.

Harmony Concert ** REDUCED **
** REDUCED ** Vintage green label Harmony concert uke with solid mahogany body, white front and back binding, rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl fret markers, plastic nut, solid wooden bridge. Sounds great but has some cosmetic issues (that don't affect sound). Tuners hold well but do not appear to be original and are mismatched 3/1. Three small surface cracks on the back and one on the bout -- all of them are about 1-2" long but do not appear to go through. On the front there is a nasty ding/crack/crunch where the uke looks like it was dropped and landed on the binding. The picture makes it look worse than it really is -- you can only really see the crunch part at specific viewing angles. From the front the uke looks pretty clean. I try to be really forthcoming about my listings. If you've read the Uke Yak, you know this particular model is considered among the best that Harmony made. This uke sounds great but won't win any beauty contests. A good value!

SOLD Les Rietfors Cutaway Concert Ukulele F/S or F/T
Stunning 2002 Les Rietfors Cutaway Concert Ukulele for sale. This is a wonderful players' instrument and a very rare collector's piece. Jewel-like in appearance, the photos do not do this instrument justice. I love this Ukulele, and offer it for sale reluctantly, but would like to try some different instruments and still keep the size of my collection within reason. I believe this to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing Rietfors Ukuleles to be found. I am not certain if he made any other cutaway concert instruments. I am asking $2,100 including shipping, to the lower 48 states. I might be interested in trading for a Devine or Koaloha Black Label Tenor instrument, or any other similar quality tenor Ukulele particularly one well suited to finger picking. Another exceptional Concert Ukulele may be a consideration as well. The Ameritage Silver case is not included in the sale.

SOLD Gibson Soprano Ukulele - Vintage
Hi all, I'm offering a vintage Gibson Soprano Ukulele. Based on my research, I think it's from the 1940-50's and it's either a U2 or U1 (it has white body binding!). It's in very good condition, no cracks and original finish. Shows some light playing wear and a handful of small nicks throughout in the finish. Unfortunately there are two issues though. First, the Gibson logo on the headstock has worn off. If you look closely, there's still silver specks where the logo should be, suggesting it was there originally. The ukulele is clearly a Gibson soprano by it's headstock, body styling, tuners, soundhole rosette and workmanship. Second, there's a small black smudge on the finish on one of the sides - it just seems to be on the finish. Otherwise, it's structurally fine, plays fine and sounds wonderful! Comes with a old black chipboard case (in fair/poor shape) and some old strings! Please email me with any questions or for more pics!

Very Clean Favilla Baritone Ukulele - Vintage
Hi all, I'm offering a very clean vintage Favilla Baritone Ukulele! Excellent condition! No cracks or scratches at all, looks like it was barely played in it's lifetime. Frets and playing action are in superb condition. Measures 30" long and about 10 1/4" at its widest point. It has a Herk Favilla label on the inside. I do not see any marks or finish flaws at all (no damage). The condition is outstanding by all standards. It has a reddish finish, all mahogany. The only small issue is that where the neck meets the body you will see a little bit of white. Not sure if that's original or a small glue repair but but they did a perfect job. Definately should not be an issue at all, the neck joint is rock solid. Comes with a nice chipboard case and some old strings! Contact me with any questions, thanks!

WTB: Concert Flea or Tenor Fluke, very used condition OK!
Howdy folks! I own a moderately expensive Fluke, (rosewood/pickup/tuners) which I love but don't want to travel with anymore. I'm heading to Latin America on a surf trip and am a little concerned about getting it stolen or damaged en route. But I've GOT to have a uke with me! :>) So I'd like to buy someone's old, beat up, basic concert Flea or tenor Fluke for cheap, maybe @ $100? If anyone has one they'd like to sell, please contact me at:
snovak2@earthlink.net
Thanks, Rick Novak.
P.S. I specifically want either a concert Flea or a tenor Fluke, plastic or metal frets, any color, not really any other sizes or brands, unless maybe you have a Kamaka you want to get rid of for $100! :>)

SOLD Vintage Gretsch Soprano
Nice old Gretsch soprano with original case -- looks ok but has a few issues. First the positive: Solid mahogany construction, rosewood fretboard, clean well-dressed frets, really nice barrel tuners (these almost seem too nice for this particular uke). Now the not-so-positive: crack on back runs the full length and has been stabilized with what looks like popsicle stick, replaced section of wood around the soundhole, action is a little low (and consequently affects intonation), and general bumps and bruises consistent with age. All in all, this is a good little uke that needs a little TLC. Best bet to make it a better than average player would be to replace the bridge or add bone saddle to raise the action. Really a pretty good deal considering that the case and tuners are probably worth what I'm asking for everything.

SOLD Gold Tone Soprano Banjo Ukulele
This is a Gold Tone Soprano Banjo Ukulele (or Banjolele if you prefer) with a Maple Neck, Ebony Fingerboard (with pearl snowflake inlay), Curly Maple Headstock, Bone Nut, Brass Tone Ring, Maple Rim, Remo Sound Head, and Friction Tuners.

I have used this Banjo Uke sparingly, mostly for recording. It is louder than a regular uke and has that distinctive Banjo sound. It is currently strung with Ko’olau Gold strings because, well, they’re gold and it seemed right having Gold Strings on a Gold Tone.

Gold Tone is one of the preeminent Banjo makers in the US. They are headquartered in Titusville, Florida and have been handcrafting Banjos since 1983. You can visit them online at www.goldtone.com for more info. This Banjo Ukulele is not the Deluxe model that has the flange and resonator and it is not the new BUS model.

This Gold Tone Soprano Banjo Uke comes with a Gold Tone Heavily Padded Gig Bag. This one is in little used, like new, condition. I will pay UPS ground shipping to the US and Canada. International or Rush shipping would be an additional cost.

This will be a great uke if you’ve been thinking of trying out that George Formby style or just wanting to add a banjo uke to your collection. I am selling a few of my instruments in hope of purchasing a Koaloha Pineapple Sunday.

SOLD Kala UBass - Fretted Spruce Top
Hello! I have a brand new Kala Ubass that I purchased from Musicguymic last week. I actually got it in the mail on 02.18.2010! It is awesome and sounds really cool, but I am not a bass player! I thought that I would give it a try, but it just doesn't click with me. It really sounds great through an amp; it has that really cool upright bass thing going on! It has a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides. I paid $409.95 for it brand new, and it is still in pristine MINT condition. I will throw in a brand new Monster Bass cable that went for $39.95 brand new - it is in pristine MINT condition as well. Shipping is free to CONUS.

Very Rare Favilla Baritone - PRICE LOWERED
This is the rarest ukulele I've owned in years of collecting, and it's a peach! Although Favilla is well known for its outstanding all-mahogany baritone ukes, few people know that the legendary builder also made a very limited run of baritones with bound, spruce tops. Only 48 of these were made; this one came from the first run in 1962. This uke has a brighter, punchier tone than the all-mahogany model. For a while I had it tuned GCEA (with appropriate strings), and the spruce top produced such a bright, balanced sound that I considered it my best "tenor." It is now tuned DGBE and sounds terrific. This uke is all original and has no cracks or repairs. There is a small spot where the binding has pulled away from the body, and the lacquer finish on the side panels has heavy checking, but these don't affect the playability, sound or rarity. Comes with its original chipboard case, which is in excellent condition. You're not likely to see another one of these! Please email (fix spam-proofing) with any questions. Thanks

Price: $400 plus actual shipping.

SOLD BUSHMAN JENNY CUTAWAY ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC BARITONE
I call this my “Super Tenor” because it is currently strung with Aquila Baritone High G-C-E-A soprano tuning (that I purchased from MGM) which, combined with the solid mahogany, really makes it sing. I will include a set of D’Addario regular Baritone Tuning - D-G-B-E in case you want to turn it back into a standard Baritone. This is an all solid wood, hand selected Brazilian mahogany top, back and sides, with a maple neck, rosewood fretboard and abalone dots. The top and back are bound in white and the top has faux abalone purfling. This has a high gloss finish. This is an acoustic/electric cutaway model with German made Shadow electronics. I do not believe Bushman makes this model any longer. A visit to their website shows that they are only selling Soprano, Concert and Tenor models. A quick search on Ebay did not yield any results for Bushman, let alone the Baritone cutaway model. The Eldery Website shows they are no longer available [link]http://www.elderly.com/new_instruments/items/BU7BCA-GLOSS.htm[/link]. You can get a quick background on Bushman ukes at Ukulele Hunt. [link] http://ukulelehunt.com/buy-ukulele/brands/bushman-ukulele/[/link] I purchased this Bushman in 2006 as a B stock because of a slight flaw in the finish which I never found. I installed strap buttons. I have used it in concert as well as in recording so it does have some wear, but in my opinion, the years and the playing have only made it sound better. This will be a great uke for anyone looking for a solid wood Baritone to add to their collection and sound. I am selling a few of my instruments in hopes of purchasing a Koaloha Pineapple Sunday. So to recap, you will receive... Used Bushman Jenny Cutaway Acoustic Electric Baritone Used featherweight Baritone Case New set of D’Addario J68 Baritone Uke Strings (wound 3rd and 4th) Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

1953 Martin 5-18 for Martin Concert or Tenor Uke
I've been looking for a martin concert or tenor uke. I have a '53 Martin 5-18, which I've tuned A to a, so its like a 6 string steel string uke. It has a new Martin size 5 hard shell case. Pics are here: http://community.webshots.com/user/gretschbigsby As you can see from the pics, it has side crack repair that is just silly-- the guy used a huge wood patch to cover the crack, and then missed part of it. Anyway, it has had a great deal of work done on it by Dennis Berck, a notable luthier on the west coast to make it play like butter. Here is his initial analysis of the guitar and what he did. It ended up costing $725 to repair it, but it is well worth it... plays and sounds perfect: "Back and sides have been stripped and re-finished. The top and neck have the original finsh that has been over-sprayed, original decal, bridge, fret board, nut and saddle. The only repair I see is the obvious side patch. It protrudes some but is solid. There is a small 3/4" crack on one end that is glued slightly out of alignment, but stable. All braces are original and un-touched. The bridge plate is worn having the ball ends up 'in' the plate, rather than 'on' the plate. Neck is straight, and original frets in good shape but need dressing (un-even). I'd recommend leaving the side patch as is unless you wanted to replace the patch and re-finish the back and sides (expensive). Repair recommendations.... Remove and re-glue loose pick guard...100.00 Repair bridge plate; fillworn holes with maple plugs, fill voids with maple sawdust and hot hide glue, sand flush and re-drill...125.00 File , re-crown and dress the un-even frets and re-set nut action (while removing the finish from the original ivory nut) 125.00 The action is on the high side and can't really be lowered any at the saddle. If you like it or can make do with the action the way it is, then leave well enough alone. To lower the action any I'd suggest a neck re-set that would include a new ivory saddle to original height....375.00" All of Dennis' recommended work was done, and it plays/sounds great! I'm looking to trade it for a Martin Concert or Tenor Uke... I estimate the value of the guitar to be $1100.

UKE Stickers, and more!
Do You Play the Uke? Then show your Pride! I once read that, "you can not make a beautiful sound with an instrument you are ashamed of". I think thats true, and thats why back in 2000 I started making these stickers. They look just like the ones you see on European cars, but a little smaller. They say "UKE" and under that in smaller print, "Ukulele Player" They are 4.25" by 2.72" oval weatherproof vinyl. These stickers, My CD's, Ukuleles, Tiki's, Art and more neat stuff are available on my website, just go to http://www.tikiking.com and follow the link to the Tiki King store. The stickers are also available by simply sending $2.00 (for each sticker) or $20 for a dozen, along with a SASE to: Tiki King Uke Stickers, P.O. Box 345, Felton, CA. 95018. Scratch n' Dent Sale
Two ukes for sale: Mainland (Regal?) soprano is sold. Two solid wood (no laminate) Chinese sopranos from Pearl River Piano. I got these years ago when I was naively considering importing ukes. The front, back, and sides are made of catalpa, rosewood fingerboards. Both have been to many campfires, cookouts, and involved in other uke shenanigans. Chipped, dinged and surface scratched, but no structural issues. Somewhat overbuilt, but the solid wood and minimal finish make for a nice sound. These are very good players with good volume. Think of them as half of a Martin at 1/10th the price. The one with the loose strings has a chipped nut that needs repair. uke with chipless nut $60 uke with chipped nut $50 Reasonable offers will be duly considered Additional info and high res pics on request to prospective buyers. Paypal payment preferred. There's an underscore between jeffrey and wolf in my email address. Buyer will also pay actual shipping cost. 14 day money back guarantee, buyer responsible for return shipping.

Baritone Scale Banjo Uke!
Here is a 4 string banjo built/restored by Aaron Keim of Beansprout Banjos. It has a vintage 10 inch spun over banjo rim with a new baritone scale (19 inches) banjo/ukulele neck. It is is strung with nylon strings in re-entrant dgbe tuning, but I could also string it with steel strings if you like. The new neck and dowel stick are made of two piece honduras mahogany with a rosewood fretboard and koa headplate. There are small brass dots at the 5,7, 10 and 12th frets. It has grover short shaft guitar style tuners with a 14:1 ratio. The 10 inch vintage pot has new hooks, nuts, tailpiece, tension hoop, head and dowel stick hardware. Bone nut and maple bridge. The 10 inch pot is bigger than a banjo uke but smaller than a tenor banjo. When this is combined with the 19 inch scale, it creates a very warm and mellow banjo sound that still can cut through a jam. With the nylon strings it will feel very comfortable for any ukulele player. The following tunings would be possible with steel strings: cgda, dgbe, dgbe re-entrant or maybe even gdae (octave lower than mandolin) The following tunings would be possible with nylon strings: dgbe, eac#f# or fBbdg re-entrant or linear and many more! Please ask any questions, I can also send a short video of the banjo for you.

Bear Creek Tenor Ukulele
For sale is a koa Bear Creek tenor ukulele made by Bill Harden. I took delivery of this uke last July. The uke has rope bindings and Bill's "style 4" fretboard and headstock inlays. The uke has a thin matte finish and is in excellent condition. I have many ukes and this one hasn't gotten much playing time. The waiting time for this uke was about 2 years, and it cost $1700. The hardshell Ko'olau case cost me extra, but will be included in the sale. Excellent sound, playability and craftsmanship. Very similar to the instrument that was featured in the Fretboard Journal article on Bill Hardin about a year ago. I couldn't add photos to this ad, but they are available on request.

Price: $1500 obo

LoPrinzi Style 2 tenor.
Here is a gorgeous mahogany tenor, wonderful tone, great intonation. This is an early model (later styled as a Nova), this one is labeled as a style 2 and has the details of the more expensive style 2. Nice Grover friction tuners, beautiful antique red finish, excellent condition, very minor evidence of play. No damage, repairs or issues, terrific player. This is the double puka design, sound hole and openings left and right. This allows the player to better hear the tone and volume of the playing, nice. I prefer Paypal.

Octave Ukulele!
Here is another unusual instrument, a real head tuner. It is a Sea and Sky travel octave mandolin re-strung as octave ukulele. These are high quality travel instruments, hand built specifically for each customer. The guy I bought this from said it was a tenor guitar, 2 strings were missing so I contacted the builder. He identified it as an octave mandolin and suggested the right gauge strings to tune it as an octave uke. The strings are Phospher bronze wound 2 3 and 4 strings and steel 1st string. Nice low rich sound, very well built. Easy player. This one is a bit scratched and nicked on the front only, I'm guessing the original owner actually did travel with it. No damage, very pretty rosewood/spruce. no case. I am asking half the price of a new one. Be the first one at the jam to have one! Paypal only

Fire Sale!
My wife is about to have an ukulele intervention, so I am drastically thinning the herd down to a reasonable number (What is reasonable?) Here is a one of a kind Koa/Spruce custom fretless concert. I commissioned this myself since I know of no other. Instead of frets there is a wood inlay. Gotoh mini-tuners, Aquilla strings, deeper body. This is a really nice player with a woody sound and really pretty. A word about this uke: It is a unique design, an experiment really, plays nice, but being fretless, is different. If you want to buy this and replace the frets I would suggest that you look elsewhere, this is a nice uke the way it is. Price is below my cost and includes shipping to lower 48 states. No case. Prefer Paypal

Wanted - Ukulele Blues book
I want to eventually have all the Jumpin' Jim books, and have a few, but I am really hot to get the Ukulele Blues book. Problem: It's not sold anywhere around me, I know, I've looked. Since I don't use banks, credit cards, or anything but cash, I'm kinda stuck here. And I want that book! Solution: I'm wondering if anyone here has it, new or used, that they want to sell me. I can send cash or a Postal Money Order, or pay you in stamps, all valid 100-year-old ways to pay for stuff. Email me, and let me know if you have it and what you want for it. I'm in the Northern California area, town or Gilroy actually, and Media Mail is cheap. I'd offer to trade one of my other Jumpin' Jim books but ..... I don't want to give any of 'em up! Eventually I want the full collection. But it's the Blues book I'm really jones'in for right now. SOME UPDATES: I DO NOT USE THE MODERN BANKING SYSTEM IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I USE THE US POSTAL SERVICE BECAUSE IT IS 200 YEARS OLD, AND I USE CASH BECAUSE IT LIKEWISE WAS PRESENT 200 YEARS AGO. (YES IT'S AMAZING I HAVE EMAIL, I EXPECT THAT TO DISAPPEAR AT ANY TIME). A FELLOW HERE, CODENAME 8PAWS, HAS OFFERED TO PUT THIS BOOK IN HIS AMAZON ORDER AND THEN SEND IT TO ME, AND I'LL MAIL HIM SOME CASH. THIS IS WORKABLE IN MY UNIVERSE, SO I MAY OBTAIN THIS BOOK YAY! THE THING IS, PLAYING 'UKE' ON THE STREET FOR TIPS IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE MY FINANCIAL LIFELINE THIS YEAR, SO BEING ABLE TO PLAY SOME GOOD JUMPIN' JIM STUFF IS GONNA HELP ME A LOT! I WILL KEEP THE UPDATES COMING, AND WHEN THE BOOK ARRIVES, TAKE THIS AD OFF, THANKS ALL, IT'S ANOTHER CAPITAL-D DEPRESSION OUT THERE TO HANG TIGHT AND BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER.
