We went through a lot of problems at a site where I post music (no videos), regarding copyrights and exclusive/non-exclusive usage of your tunes for how long, etc, etc.
Part of the reason for the statements in theTerms of Service is that the company is protecting itself, legally. Then there's always the money angle.
"You wanna use the site: You scratch my back..."
Bottom line is that all of these sites can make use of your material. Some more so than others and for longer or shorter. But they're also a great vehicle for putting yourself out there. Got to balance the two and make a decision.
