After NAMM last night, two young fellows, along with the renowned Fleamarket Music's Jim Beloff, graced the stage at Island Bazaar.
I had never heard of them. Maybe some of you have, but for sure the Youtube crowd knows of Gabe Bondoc and Matt Dahlberg.
They played for us, and they wowed our group. Jim also sang a couple of songs. Ko Aloha Okamis (Alan & Paul) came in with Gabe and the Ko Aloha "gang". Lots of fun.
Matt Dahlberg was with Mike da Silva. Always good to see Mike, and we're glad he's not moving to Hawaii.
Britney Paiva house concert is sold out for Saturday, but you can catch Lil' Rev on Feb 10th for a workshop and 11th in concert.
Please stop in at Island Bazaar when you're in Huntington Beach. We'd love to spoil you! Shirley O. Island Bazaar ukuleleparadise.com |

I was excited to be a part of Thursday's meeting and thanks for all of the Aloha spirit shown to me. I was especially excited to see Matt there that night. I have been following "The Jumping Flea" (his YouTube moniker) for quite a while. We will be hearing and seeing more of this young man. Here is his website: http://www.thejumpingflea.net/The_Jumping_Flea/Fleas_Nest%21.html
Thanks again for a fun night and while you were complaining how cold it was there I just flew home and it's 15 degrees and windy right now. I will remember spending a sunny afternoon strumming on beautiful Huntington Beach for quite a while.

| And UkeBrown we were glad to have you. Hope you felt welcome. I was a bit distracted with several things throughout the evening and had to kinda' rush out. But I was glad you introduced yourself. We try to make Island Bazaar as hospitable as we can. And glad you like our lovely beach town of Huntington Beach. Aloha, BBTom Noble

Yes, Tom I had a fun time and I know you had a busy night going on.
I also want to thank Book'm Danno for the suggestion of Wahoos for lunch. I had some great fish tacos for lunch.
I kept thinking that Huntington Beach would be a great location for a winter ukulele festival. It would hit my calendar. :)

| Hard to think of Matt as a "kid." He's got the chops of someone who's been doing it for 30-40 years. Plus, he's a huge supporter of the annual Reno 'Uke Fest. The "kid" is definitely going places.
