Can anyone suggest a fingerpicking pattern to play this song? Also, do you think the uke is too "happy" for Townes' songs?

I don't know about the picking pattern, but I think the uke is a great instrument for the darker songs such as Townes songs. For one reason or another, I seem to be drawn to those types of songs anyway, and the uke works out fine for me:-)

To paraphrase Townes, There are the Blues and eveything else is Zip-a-dee-doo-dah. The Blues works fine on the uke. So does Zip-a-dee-do-dah.
