Irelands First Ukulele Festival is happening in Dublin on Sunday August 16th. The festival is taking place in the centre of Dublin's Cultural Centre, Temple Bar. We have been given a beautiful small town square that is being roofed with a special Marquee awning for the day.
The artists taking part are from all over europe (we are hoping we may be able to arrange a us artist if the finances stretch!)
The Bill so far, is Ukulele Zaza from Holland, Winnin Boys from Belgium, Ukebox from Holland, Gus and Finn from Scotland, Steven Sproat from England, Vertigo Smyth, Peter Delaney and the Ukuhooligans from Ireland. Other artists are to be announced soon.
There will also be Food Stalls, "Fine Wines" and Ukulele Stalls.
We are pretty excited about in our small uke community and if anyone is visiting Europe or indeed Ireland, in August we would love to see you.
