WHAT A TREAT…Bernson & Bayless followed by White Ghost Shivers!
Bernson and Bayless – well, you might not be so familiar with the first name “Bernson” – but you certainly DO know the second – “Bayless”, Pops Bayless, that is, of Shorty Long and American Novelty Fame! Ahhh…the memories… Pops, as he is known to his friends and fans plays Ukulele, Banjo and Mandolin “like nobody’s business”! Pop, Jazz, Swing, Blues, Novelty and Song Writer.
Then there is Miss Julia Berson – that cute thang, one hot chick with an EVEN HOTTER voice that will KNOCK you off your feet! Her sound will transport you “back in time” to the 1920’s, when singers really did belt out a song – and didn’t need amplification to do that. Yep she’s an original.
Let’s not forget the 3rd member of this group – Bass player, Mark Rubin, gentleman musician. Widely acclaimed, Rubin’s talent not only makes Bernson & Bayless shine, but also shines with klezmer bands, western swing, and many other forms of music.
If you missed their standing ovation performance at the Lone Star Uke Fest this year - it brought the house down!!! – Don’t miss your chance to see them.

White Ghost Shivers is an Austin based band. They revel in string band music from the 20's and 30's, mixing early jazz, hokum, vaudeville, ragtime, western swing, hillbilly, jugband and ragtime into a theatrical and infecious goodtime. They must be seen to be believed. White Ghost Shivers have won Austin Music Awards for "Best None of the Above" in 2006 and 2008 and "Best Novelty Band" in 2007.
