I'm always losing tuners. I need one now. Any reviews on this new model from Fishman?

Haven't tried it but I'd like to, if only because it's a few bucks cheaper than the other one I use most of the time (Meisel, Intelli or Barcus Berry depending on whomever owns the company right now). The other thing is that the one I use rattles sometimes, so the Fishman might be an improvement there too. I'm always losing them also, they seem to walk away at jams. I'm gonna carve my name in the next one.

I just keep it on the uke; unless i'm imovie'ing.

Kala has one that is a little more compact than the intelli, and has a couple of "uke" tuning pre sets: uke in C, and uke in D. It's about $27.
The intelli is a bit more.
I like the Korg clip on: it's grey, came out a few yrs ago. Although it is a bit more finicky, it seems to get a finer calibration than the others, which seem to leave a lot of tolerance room when zeroing in on the note. It's more expensive as well.

I've had many of the those clip on tuners. And, the week point of most is the connection between the tuner and the clip-on portion.

The Korg, grey space age looking tuner broke at the connection. A Sabine was knocked over by a student and broke at the clip on connection, at the post. Many years ago I had one the first Intlletouch tuner and the battery compartment cover fell off and I had to use a rubber band to hold it on.

The most durable one so far, after many times falling on the floor. Is the Planet Wave Headstock tuner. I now have two of them. Cost a little more than some of the others - but has been in service always and is a lot more durable.

Thanks. I'll get one today. Actually my son will pick one up for me today.

He's coming home for spring break today from grad school at Michigan State (5 miles from Elderly).

He's picking up a guitar I had cleaned and tweeked at Elderly - my 1954 Gibson ES-125 http://www.guitarsandeffects.com/guitarimages2006/gibson_es125sb50s/gibson_es125_a_001.jpg

(purchased in 1978 for $300).

This will be my travel guitar for my road gigs this spring/summer.

Nice guitar...wow. Jealous!

That's not a picture of my guitar.

Mine is only about 80% as nice as that.

Same specs but a little more road-worn.

I'm wondering this is same as Fishman. I also have seen same looking tuner with no name, made in China in Amazon.com for $9.95 about a month ago.

Still jealous!

It's the exact same tuner!

Just got the guitar back. Elderly's repair shop did an incredible job! They scraped off years of dirt and grime, polished, cleaned... The guitar looks 95% of the above pic.

I was at the music store today and they had the new Kala clip on tuner for $20. I liked it better than the old Meisel/Intelli/Barcus Berry. Don't know how it compares with this Fishman, but I liked it a lot. It's a little more streamlined. It also has the feature where it turns color when the string is in tune, it's backlit, and the screen is easy to read. And it doesn't rattle!

The kala tuners are great and Koolau just released their simple chromatic tuner yesterday under their Oahu Brand
