| Gryphon has listed this rather nice uke with a $2449.00 opening price and NO reserve. I've been tracking ukes on eBay intensively for 8 years now and this is the first one I've seen. A rare oppurtunity indeed. Let's all watch and see how high the price goes. I expect through the roof!! |

that one will go high since it's so rare.
the vintage market is weird; a clean Martin t-1 in original case went for under way under 600 a couple weeks ago... where they've been getting around 900 lately. Most sellers asking 1200 and up. Ayear ago they topped at 1700.
Same with soprano's. Asking about 600 for a clean style O... and a near clean style 1 went for around 540 and a clean style 1 went for 950.
One trend i see is if it has any wear and especially cracks (small ones), people hardly touch it.

| One our uke club members has a mint condition Poinsettia. It was made for her uncle who used to play it on the radio. Gibson added extra color to it. It's a beauty. She had on American Road Show a number of years ago. I think they values it at about $5k back then.
