We are an ukulele group of 150 local members that meets at least once a week in Carlsbad, California to sing and play ukulele. We are the home group of Bill Tapia and Pat Enos! We watch the volume level so you can hear yourself play and each week is an ukulele workshop from Pat Enos on many aspects of playing ukulele from substitution chords, strums, vamps, and playing by ear. Beginners will be welcomed by our Kokua Team and loaner music books are available for first-timers. Many members teach songs as Guest Conductors and our musical tastes vary from George Formby, to Ukulele Jazz, to Traditional and Contemporary Hawaiian Mele. Hula dancers are welcome and dancing is encouraged. Visit and play with us and you will fit in at any Kanikapila in Hawai'i!

Pack your bags, grab your case and escape to the heartland for an incredible ukulele experience!
Three unique classes make up this popular week-long experience: Ukulele Performance with Pops Bayless (Austin, Texas), Arranging and Playing Chord Melody with Mark Gutierrez (Omaha, Nebraska) and Ukulele Construction with Geoff Davis (Noblesville, Indiana).
Groups come together for jams, performances, concerts. Saturday night, students, instructors and community members perfrom at the Hedgehog Music Showcase. The Hedgehog is a beautiful and historic smoke-free concert venue. The community really turns out for this concert and packs the house!

Swing Ukulele Instruction at the Augusta Heritage Festival's 'Swing Week'
Gerald Ross will teach swing and fingerstyle ukulele, beginning/intermediate Hawaiian and Western Swing non-pedal steel guitar during 'Swing Week' July 13-18, 2008 at the Augusta Heritage Festival.
The Augusta festival is held during the summer months at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. The program is best known for it's intensive week-long workshops that attract more than 2,000 participants annually.
Instruction in Irish, Bluegrass, Swing, Cajun/Creole and Blues is offered by some of the world's finest musicians.

Windy City Uke Fest 2008 Chicago
This will be the largest ukulele festivals in the Midwest. Chicago has had a strong ukulele history from ukulele manufactures to great ukulele performers. We wish to continue the aloha spirit and share with you everything the ukulele has to offer. The `ukulele is the gift that keeps on giving. We will have performers and ukulele instructors from around the world giving world-class ukulele workshops. Come and delight in the three fun-filled days of ukulele paradise. We will have an UkeTube stage where any uke player can show their stuff. The main stage will have top performers from the ukulele community. We will have starter workshops for people and kids that have never played a musical instrument of any type.
We have lined up:
Mark “Spanky” Guiterrez, Gerald Ross, Victoria Vox, Windy City Islanders, Kimo Hussey, Ali Lexa,
Tim Sweeney, Seeso, Lil’ Rev, Abe Lagrimas Jr., Steven P. Slivka and the Boar’s Head Orchestra, Barefoot Hawaiian, Jonathan Carreira, Keenan Kamae, Lopaka, Ukulele Tonya, and others.
We will have raffles, ukuleles, sing-a-longs, and ukulele instruction workshops for all levels. We will have the best ukulele vendors, and suppliers. All the ukulele merchandise you’ve dreamed about will be there. Drooling is not allowed.
