Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that we now have copies to ship of our latest book/CD "Jazzing Up The Ukulele" by Fred Sokolow. This is a fun and practical introduction to using chord substitutions to embellish basic arrangements. Available now in the online store. |

And just so everyone knows, Fred will be at the first-ever Palm Springs Ukulele Festival this coming weekend, Feb. 6-8. While Fred's doing workshops on using slide on the uke, and on famous uke songs, and Seattle's Michael Powers will be there doing the jazz bit, I'm sure Fred will love to talk about the new book.
Full passes to the Festival are sold out, but it's my understanding that Saturday day-passes and tickets to the Saturday evening show (feature Victoria Vox!) may still be available if you act fast. Check out http://playuke.net .
Thanks Jim! Looking forward to picking up a copy.

Hello Jim,
Fred is great! Is the book geared toward Linear tuning? Reentrant? Both?

Fred was great at last weekend's first Palm "Strings" Ukulele Festival, and performed some arrangements from his soon-to-arrive latest book, Beatles songs, instrumental. Fabulous stuff, and we have to assume that Flea Market Music will make it available when it comes out.
