New Listing Tim Laughlin 2K Soprano - Outstanding instrument!
This listing is for a used Laughlin 2K soprano ukulele. This model is pretty rare, and in my opinion, the tone and playability are even rarer as I can honestly say this is the best soprano I've ever played. It has a huge voice with plenty of bark when strummed, but can also sound super sweet and warm when finger-picked. The fit and finish is amazing, and includes nice appointments like full body binding in ivoroid, incredible custom reproduction tuners with ivoroid knobs, and b/w/b/w/b inlayed rosette. My photos don't do it justice, as the koa has really nice flame and the finish is gloss, and IMO far superior to the matte finish on today's reproductions made by Martin. It's in excellent condition, with the only issue being a small indentation on the top point of the headstock, which is captured in the photos. Comes with shaped hard shell case and humidifier. As mentioned in a separate listing, I'm selling a couple instruments now in order to offset some of the cost of a new mandolin. The price here includes fast shipping and full value insurance + paypal fees. I don't think that I'm alone in thinking that Tim Laughlin builds better ukes than Martin ever has. If you're a fan of vintage Martins and have never played a Laughlin, you will be blown away at the quality and tone of this instrument. Thanks for looking and please get in touch with any questions.

Price: $1200 (includes shipping in US + PayPal fees)

New Listing Very Slightly Used Collings UC3K - Gorgeous one piece top and back
This is a nearly new Collings UC3K concert ukulele that I bought recently. It's a wonderful instrument with some great koa and nice appointments like ivoroid bindings on the body, fretboard, and headstock; abalone rosette; Madagascar rosewood head plate, fretboard, and bridge. Full gloss finish is impeccable. Exceptional playability and tone. It's in mint condition with no damage whatsoever and has been kept in a controlled humidity and smoke free environment. Currently strung with Oasis Warm High G strings. Comes with original Collings branded hard case. I love these ukuleles, but I've recently been (re)afflicted with mandolin acquisition syndrome, which as many of you know, can be far worse than UAS on the bank account. I'm also blessed to have other nice ukuleles to play, so I'm selling this to offset mandolin expenses. Fast shipping w full value insurance + paypal fees are included in the price. Thanks for looking and please get in touch with any questions.

New Listing Custom David Gomes Tenor Ukulele
I HAVE A BUNCH OF UKULELES ON ORDER AND SO I'M LETTING SELECT PIECES GO AT EXTREME DISCOUNTED PRICES to make room for others. 2012. Gorgeous custom cocobolo wood back and sides with spruce top tenor ukulele handcrafted by master luthier David Gomes of the North Kohala district of the Big Island of Hawaii. David strongly believes that the aesthetic of the instrument must be paralleled by the craftsmanship and the constant focus on the tone itself and as a musician and luthier of over forty years, he understands the approach of luthier work from the perspective of being a player himself as well. This has allowed him the opportunity to make fine adjustments to his instruments over the years that have come from his own understanding of comfort, balance, playability and tone of the ukulele. Constructed of master grade cocobolo wood on back and sides with tight grain spruce top for excellent response. Ebony fretboard with cocobolo wood bridge. Toon wood neck for added stability, this piece also boasts a gorgeous marquetry rosette and matching back center seem. Cocobolo wood top and back binding, with accented cocobolo wood end graph. Classic 12 fret joint to the body with 17 total frets to the soundhole. Poreless gloss finish with bone nut and saddle and closed geared Grover tuners for precise tuning. Slotted-headstock model. A wonderful custom David Gomes ukulele from one of Hawaii’s famed ukulele luthiers, David Gomes. Crisp highs and well balanced low tones as well. The slotted-headstock on this piece also provides additional sustain. Note: If you play higher up on the neck regularly this uke may not be the best option as there are a few intonation issues in the higher positions. If you only play in the lower positions, then the uke plays fine. At this price, however, you could easily have the intonation issues in the higher positions corrected by a professional and still make out with a phenomenal deal. These new cost around $3,000. Price: $1,950.00 --> $1,200.00

Warren Ellis Tenor/Baritone electric guitar!!!
Ever wanted to play the electric guitar but found 6 string intimidating? Here's a chance to play a four string tenor. Tuned like a Baritone Ukulele DGBE. The smaller 23" scale makes for easy play. Expertly setup by 13th Street Guitar in Huntington Beach Ca. The pics are the original pics of the guitar before I bought it on Reverb.com from a few months back. Barely played and in excellent condition. Check out https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HCiJCAiszO4 to see the possibilities. I prefer pickup in the Orange County, CA. area but we can discuss shipping. Thanks.

FS: New Concert Sitka Spruce Top Uke by Black Bear
This is a new concert size uke made of some very nice woods for the body. The top is book matched Sitka spruce that is light in weight and very even grain lines some Bear Claw marks. There was a small knot in the upper bout so I inlaid a MOP star over it. The back and sides are Pau Ferro that I have had for about 10 years and its make a beautiful unique looking uke. The top and back bindings are white vinyl with a top purfling and sound hole rosette are b/w/b combination of wood strips. The top plate, fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. The neck is Mango wood with a truss rod. This Mango has nice color and some very small worm holes from years past, and is a bit harder than Mahogany. There are 12 frets to the body, 18 total. Frets are slightly larger than small uke frets making playing easy and smooth. The nut width is 1 3/8". MOP dots for fret markers with white side dots. Bone nut and compensated bridge saddle. Chrome colored Grover brand friction tuners with cream colored knobs. MOP into ebony logo inlay. High gloss nitro-lacquer finish rubbed to a smooth satin. 15" playing scale. Worth brand BM strings. Low easy playing action and a very full rich mellow sound with excellent highs that spruce is famous for. I offer a 2 day trial period, your complete satisfaction is guaranteed. Limited lifetime warranty to the original owner. No case but I will double box for safe shipping. Made in the USA by Black Bear Ukes. $35 shipping in the USA lower 48 states. Payment by money order, personal check or bank draft only, no Paypal. Email me if you need more information. Thanks for looking.

Griffin Soprano Ukulele, Hard Case, Hercules Stand, & more...
Griffin Soprano Ukulele, Hard Case, Hercules Stand, & more... Selling a Griffin Ukulele #12 made in 2011 but bought in 2013. I had a Fishman Passive Pick-up professionally installed at guitarsolo in San Francisco. This is the pro type to his acorn ukuleles and it is made of maple and has a thin body. It currently has Aquila Red Low-G and Fremont Blacks strings on it. It is the ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND since he made the acorn Uke shortly after so I'm still on the fence with selling it. Such an amazing Uke and the only one of it's kind made by Brian Griffin in the world!!!! It has a thin-body and it feel like it's apart of you as you play. It's TRULY amazing!!!! The white hard case has backpack straps and also cost me over $200. This also comes with coastal strings and aurora strings as well. Also including a Hercules Ukulele stand, an Uke Leash, Planet Waves Tuner, Spectrum Mini Travel Amp and more. Some more specifics: Top: Sitka Spruce Sides; tiger stripe maple binding, dark fabric, back: carved, concave tiger stripe maple neck, walnut peghead plate, quilted maple fretboard , bridge and heel cap; Ebony dots top and side, mother of pearl tuners, black ,friction Strings; multi-color Aurora/Aquila This is a standard size and shaped soprano uke except its sides are only one inch high. It has a concave, carved fiddleback maple back which contributes to its rich sound and surprising volume . It had a role in the development of the "Pinecone" design. This one is built to survive in a back pack. One of a kind in this world!!!! $650 shipped in CONUS

1929 B&D tenor banjo - new tuners, plays great like a big baritone Uke!
Very sweet old tenor banjo. New tuners, recent neck angle adjustment. Tuned and plays like a baritone uke. I've found this to be a great way to uke skills on an instrument that is loud enough to use in an ensemble. $400 plus shipping ($49) or pick it up or work out a way to meet half way if you are in NY or New England - might be possible. Here's some details on it: 1929 B & D Special #1, wood rim (no tone ring model), recent skin head, new Gotoh Tuners, 19 fret model This banjo plays great. A recent neck adjustment, recent skin head and new tuners have it playing great. It has many bumps and bruises but none that affect it's playability. The resonator hardware, brackets, inlays, tailpiece and hoop are all good. It even has the original B & D arm rest that is actually attached to two of the brackets (it can be moved or removed if necessary). other details: The action at the 12th fret is about three 32nds of an inch (approx 2.5 mm) above the fret - with a bridge that is slightly higher than 1/2 inch -some room for adjustment. New Gotoh planetary 4 to 1 tuners are terrific and look appropriate. There are 2 very small screw holes along side each new tuner, left from the non-functional grovers that had to be replaced. The resonator can be removed with one bolt. This banjo can quickly be adapted as a comfortable open-back. The neck angle was recently adjusted to improve the action. A very thin metal strip was installed between the neck and the hoop where the neck meets the body. Everything is snug and proper. The finish on the neck is worn from playing, but the contour is good - very comfortable and no wear beyond the finish. Feel free to ask questions - in fact, please do. If you contact me I can send more pics and share more details with you. The shipping is costly so I would want you to know what you're getting as best as possible. Additional photos could be available. If you live in New England or New York shipping might be avoided by local pickup or meeting "half-way". Contact me to discuss this possibility. Interest Check: Players Ko'olau CE-1 Semi-Chambered Koa Top Electric Tenor Ukulele w/ Case
This is an interest check for a well played Ko'olau CE-1 Tenor with Solid Hawaiian Koa top and Solid Mahogany back and sides, rosewood fretboard faceplate and bridge. Custom LR Baggs pickups developed by Ko'olau and LR Baggs just for the CE for best amplified sound on the market. As far as being well played, it's not an old build but it was gigged out on extensively with fingerpicks and shows wear around where the sound hole would typically fall extending from there to the edge, with only a few of the scratches pierecing through the satin finish near the edge as seen in image #5, but that's it it is still pretty new in other regards. I checked with two sources one being the distributor, it's strictly asthetic. Applying a film pick guard was reccomended if you intend to continue use via picks or nails to prevent further wear due to the nature of the satin. Just an interest check for anyone who might be looking for a CE on the secondary market at a solid discount, probably will be the hardest to part with yet but if the price is right I need the cash. Includes custom hardshell Ko'olau case and oasis humidifier. Initial asking price is $1350 shipped ground con-US lower 48. Originally paid around $1900, also will consider best offers or I guess I'm interested in a Kamaka HF-2L (pickup preferred else trade + cash). Please email me with any questions, additional and alternate pictures could be arrange for serious inquiry. Aloha

SOLD Kamaka 8 string Tenor with Blues Reunion Case
This ukulele is not new or pristine. It has scratches (no cracks) and you can see that the finish has worn off on the back of the neck. The black fret board has lost a lot of black. This instrument has been played, a lot, by me and whoever owned it before I did. It sounds wonderful. I have it strung with Worth strings gGcCEEAA. It has an unknown brand of passive pickup. It also has a clear plastic pick guard on it. I don't know how long the guard has been on it or what would happen if it was removed but it does not seem to bother the sound at all. This has been my absolute favorite to play at sing arounds and open mics. Since it left the house a lot, I have kept it in a Reunion Blues Continental Case. This is not your typical gig bag. The case alone has a list price of $199 (though I'm sure they get discounted) http://reunionblues.com/product/217/RBTUK Price of this ukulele with Case includes shipping anywhere in the 48 states. SOLD NEW - Custom Oulcraft Longneck Soprano Ukulele - 'Hawaiian Koa'
Ukulele Guild of Hawaii (UGH) luthier, Jungtae Kim, established his business of handcrafted ukuleles under the tutelage of world renowned UGH ukulele and guitar luthier, Takahashi Shinji of Japan's famed T's Ukuleles and custom line, Seilen Ukulele. Jungtae, together with his wife, Seoyoon Na, who oversees the aesthetics in design behind each build and his younger brother, Hyuntae, who manages the ideation process - the team handcrafts both base model ukuleles with a custom flair and fully handcrafted custom ukuleles out of Korea under the provenance of 'Oulcraft'. This progressive longneck Hawaiian Koa wood soprano ukulele (KOUL) was meticulously handcrafted with a simple but elegant theme in mind. Wonderful attention to detail by luthier, Jungtae Kim, the lines of this instrument are very attractive. It boasts a Spanish Cedar neck, which allows for increased structural integrity at a fraction of the weight of its more commonly employed Mahogany or Koa wood necks, an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge with a classy Owl or 'Oul' feather mother of pearl half-rosette. Gorgeous Oulcraft logo at the headstock and a thin urethane finish that yields the natural characteristics of the Hawaiian Koa wood. Professional open geared Gotoh UK 700 tuners for smooth and precise tuning. Beautiful mother-of-pearl waxing and waning moons tastefully inlaid on position markers on 5,7,10,12, and 15. This instrument is surprisingly light in weight and similar in projection, responsiveness, clarity and tone to a custom Kanile'a ukulele. The workmanship is impeccable and the instrument is easy to cradle and hold when being played. The instrument employs a lattice brace system on the underside of the soundboard with a small but refined bridge footprint, enabling for optimum 'excitement' of the soundboard as transference of energy from the strings to the bridge to the soundboard occurs when being played. This custom Oulcraft ukulele is wonderful for both fingerpicking and strumming and has excellent clarity, sustain, and projection while offering wonderful separation from one note to the next. A highly recommended custom ukulele from one of UGH's newest members, Jungtae Kim. Please note that there is a thin plastic pick guard on the upper bout of this instrument. It is simply placed on to protect the instrument from strumming and there is no adhesive holding the pick guard down. If preferred, it can simply be removed with no difficulty or resistance. *Please email for professional studio recording / sound file. I haven't worked on merging the sound file with the video but can file drop you the recording for you to hear. This little uke has some amazing projection and great clarity for it's size. You'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

Price: SOLD. Thank you!

Riggio Koa Tenor Ukulele
Sound Sample @ Dropbox.com

Video Sample @ Dropbox.com

A beautiful Riggio Koa Tenor ukulele, hand-built by master craftsman Phil Riggio. As you probably know, Phil has a reputation for building beautiful sounding and great playing instruments with an ear towards a true vintage sound. This example is no exception. It's fully crafted out of koa, with a mahogany neck, and has the sweet, yet well-defined, tone that is common with these traditional woods.

The instrument has been very gently played and is excellent condition. It's currently strung with Aquila Lava strings that highlight the warmth and clarity of this ukulele. As a nice touch, Phil included his sand-inlay on his less commonly done slot headstock, with Grover Sta-tite 18:1 97-18 tuners. Hardshell case is included.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
