New Listing Custom Graziano Concert Ukulele
(C.2018). Preowned. Beautiful and meticulously made Custom Graziano Concert Ukulele handcrafted in Santa Cruz, CA by legendary luthier Tony Graziano . Tony has been building musical instruments since 1969 and ukuleles, specifically, since 1978. His instruments are world renowned and his instruments are loved by musicians and recreational ukulele players throughout the world, but especially those here in the USA and Japan. This gorgeous custom Graziano concert ukulele was handcrafted of a beautiful set of Hawaiian Koa wood face, back, and sides. Mahogany wood neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge, ivroid top and back binding, ivroid bound fretboard and head stock, and matching ivroid with b-w-b-w-b-wb-w purfling line rosette for aesthetic appeal are a few of the detail-oriented characteristics on this beautiful and functional piece of art. New Listing Custom Ziegenspeck 'Double Back' Tenor Ukulele
New 2020. Custom Ziegenspeck 'Double Back' Tenor Ukulele. A beautiful custom ukulele handcrafted by Tom Ziegenspeck of Rudolstadt, Germany. Tom studied at the famed luthier school, University of Applied Sciences for Building Stringed Instruments in Markneukirchen, Germany where his theoretical and practical expertise earned him the degree of "Zupfinstrumentenbaumeister" or "Master Luthier".  The little town of Markneukirchen is steeped in woodworking traditions and is the same small town where Christian Fredrick Martin Sr, or C.F. Martin I of the legendary C.F. Martin & Co, was born and where he would build his first professional grade instruments prior to moving to the US in 1833. This tradition of finely handcrafted instruments from this region continues to this day through the rich legacy of Ziegenspeck Ukuleles as demonstrated by Tom's most recent prestigious award; the coveted, Berlin and East Germany Prestige Awards - Bespoke Instrument Maker of the Year. With a focus on simple elegance and tone, Ziegenspeck ukuleles are handcrafted with the finest materials and approaches to luthiery with only a limited number of instruments available per year but some of the most sought after full custom ukuleles in Europe. The low number of instruments handcrafted per year is a testimony to the remarkably high level of quality and meticulous care he invests in to each piece, yielding both an aesthetically beautiful instrument with truly remarkable tones. Absolutely incredible in all aspects of construction and sound. This gorgeous Custom Ziegenspeck 'Double Back' Tenor Ukulele was handcrafted with two backs to allow minimum dampening of the inner back panel of the body as the player holds the ukulele with dual back chamber ports. European Cherry top, double back, and sides, making for a light but highly responsive body. Slightly modified 16.9 inch short-scale from nut to saddle. Beautiful leadwood fretboard and bridge with a 14 fret joint to the body. Elegant 'accent line' mother-of-pearl position markers inlaid on positions 5, 7, 10, and 12 with a double accent inlay on position 12 paying subtle tribute to the double back construction of this beautiful masterpiece. Matching European Cherry veneered headstock and European Cherry wood neck for reduced weight. Dyed wood marquetry rosette with matching red dyed inner sound hole rosette. Professional Der Jung - vintage style - geared tuners with 14:1 gear ratio for smooth and precise tuning. Ziegenspeck passive piezzo undersaddle pick up for quick plug and play. Gorgeous Satin finish for a smooth to the touch feel. Tonally, European Cherry seems to fall somewhere between a maple and walnut but a bit more on the mellow side. It's not as 'transparent' as Maple or as 'dark' as walnut but a bit more on the mellow side with wonderful clarity. A beautiful custom ukulele handcrafted by one of Europe's finest ukulele luthiers, Tom Ziegenspeck. This wonderful ukulele has wonderful projection and sustain with the double back construction, and clarity with excellent balance. Highly recommended. VIDEO: https://vimeo.com/455003004

Kinnard Gloss Soprano with cedar and figures walnut and soundhole
This is the exact featured soprano on The Ukulele Site’s main page for a Kinnard soprano and has a sound hole, gloss finish and beautiful figured walnut. You can see some photos of the ukulele here, it’s the very same one. https://www.theukulelesite.com/kinnard-custom-soprano.html?___SID=U Based on the pricing with the extras I believe this uke would go for $3000 or more. I acquired this uke only a few weeks ago after looking for this EXACT ukulele for many many years. I am picking up the ukulele after being absent for several years and this is one of the few instruments that I had really wanted. The reason I’m selling is that I learned from my prior playing days that having too many ukuleles kind of stresses me out. I told myself that I would have to choose between this soprano and a very rare Toda soprano that I acquired a couple of months ago. Ultimately I am choosing to keep the Toda because it has 14 frets to the body and it has a thinner neck for faster playing. I am selling this ukulele for $2000 plus shipping. Hard case included.

2009 Custom G String concert Ukulele
Took me a few years to find this and can’t believe I have to let it go but circumstances force a sale. If you’ve ever owned a G String Classic from the islands you know the quality of these very difficult to find instruments. And to top it off, this one has Master Level Koa and can be described as a Custom! The prior owners thoughts below, price is firm and buyer to pay shipping and any fees. Don’t wait too long, check out the prices on the new G String Customs and you’ll see this is a great buy! Email for pics. Blessings and Mahalo!!!! About This Listing Serial number 20119.  According to a thread on ukulele underground the first two numbers indicate the number of the unit made, followed by the month and the year.  So, it appears that this was the 20th instrument made in November of 2009 We emailed G-String and here is what Derek Shimizu said, "that grade of koa would be premium/master grade stuff by today's standards. I wouldn't use that koa on anything under $3k retail value today." A very rare ukulele not often found and it is in near mint condition. Specifications: Ultra flamed Koa top, back and sides with Natural Original Finish Rosewood Fretboard and artistically carved Bridge 1-15/32" nut Top bound with faux tortoise shell binding  Abalone Rosette inlay around sound hole. Abalone Inlay Logo on Headstock 19 fret fingerboard with T-frets Small abalone dot inlays at 5th, 7th and 10th fret positions 16" Scale Overall Length 24.5" Width: 8.25" Original grover open tuners Uke Crazy Case Condition: This instrument is just, well, simply spectacular.  It has been gently played but I listed it as mint because I honestly cannot find any faults with this beauty.  The flaming on the Koa is breathtaking as are the faux tortoise shell binding and abalone rosette and inlaid logo. Visual inspection: No warping is present, braces are secure and the neck is straight. Tapping Inspection: instrument resonates nicely and evenly with no sharp noises from loose braces present. Playability: As you'd expect, a nice vibrant tone that resonates nicely.  Great action. Depending upon your personal playing style it may benefit from a professional set-up. But for me the instrument is playing just as you'd expect a custom Hawaiian built Ukulele to perform: a warm responsive, robust sound that is bright and clear. Suitable for collector, professional player or dedicated passionate strummer/picker
