New Listing Custom Howlett SlimJim Tenor, figured Makore & Englemann spruce
Custom built slim body tenor built by Pete Howlett with Tom Ziegenspeck in Wales in 2016. Legacy This is in Mint condition and has splash-figured Makore body, master-grade Englemann spruce top, with a leadwood fingerboard and pin bridge, Mt. Snowdon headplate is burr walnut and bird’s eye maple. Abalone rosette, ebony binding, gloss finish on body, matte finish on neck and headstock, geared tuners (Der Jung?). This was completed in December 2016. This hand-built tenor is gorgeous (looks and tone). It sounds amazing in reentrant with the Worth Brown string on it. This tenor’s voice is exceptional compared to the many other ukes I’ve played. It’s responsive, clear, resonant and easy to play. This is Pete’s SlimJim tenor with a slightly thinner body for comfort, but with a big sound. It looks like it just came out of Pete’s workshop. Legacy # 025, Sequential # 79116 (791st uke Pete built), date July 2016, Signed by Pete Howlett. Nut width of 36mm with 10mm string spacing at the nut., 40mm spacing at the saddle. Corian nuts and saddle. Comes with a case. I really hate to part with it. But, I’m not playing as much as I used to do. Continuing to reduce my uke collection. Sound sample: https://app.box.com/s/rxz9ffkur08m0l3ee33dhyjhomvgymkw

Price: Asking $1300 plus shipping.

New Listing Custom Saturn V from Mike Brown of Woody Ukulele Factory - Out of this World!
This is a custom made uke from Mike Brown of Woody Ukulele Factory. I'm not sure if Mike is still building ukes and can't find his website. The craftsmanship is great, the design, like I put in the title is just "out of this world". And the woods he used in this design are quite exotic! The body is Curly Anigre (pronounced a-NEG-gray) which is an African hardwood. The neck is mahogany with maple accents. The fretboard is Manzanita, and nut and saddle are Koa. The Saturn planet is Kingwood, Saturns rings are Paduke. The end inlay is spalted maple, the headstock logo (is it a Picasso alien?) is Purple heart. The rocket ship is abalone and it's vapor trail is sterling silver. Also has faux tortoise shell. The sound is very warm and full, similar to mahogany. It's strung low G but it has the warmth to handle a high G as well and not get thin. To compare it to a uke you might know, it sounds a lot like my Cocobolo. You won't be dissatisfied with the sound OR the looks. It's a read head turner. Comes in a hardshell case, it's a lot of uke for $850 shipped. Feel free to ask anything, I'll provide honest answers. Oh, and yes the themed strap is included!

SOLDNew Listing Very Rare KoAloha KTM-10C Classic Model (Pikake Satin Finish)
For Sale or Trade is an extremely rare KoAloha Classic Pikake (satin finish) tenor from 2017. These Classic models rarely come up for resale. It was in 2017 that KoAloha put out these tenors with the ebony KoAloha Crown fret markers. These ebony crowns were for one year only. This uke has the wonderful sound of the pre-Anniversay KoAlohas. Since 2020, the KoAloha Tenors have been more forward in their sound profile, but this 2017 classic takes you right back to that chest-reverberating sound that put KoAloha on the map. This ukulele is in like new condition, but upon careful inspection, you can see the tiniest scrape on the point of a crown (see pic). Truthfully, I never notice it with the naked eye. Koa back/sides/face with Sapele neck. Ebony KoAloha inlay in the Koa headstock. This is a true classic KoAloha. Comes with an UkeKrazy Case.

Maui Music Pre-Fire Koa Concert
In my opinion, Peter Lieberman's concert ukuleles are some of the very best ever made, anywhere. This is a prime example of his pre-fire model (my personal favorite-I've owned at least 4 of this same design), featuring an all-koa body and bridge with a radiused rosewood fretboard and (I believe) mahogany neck. This ukulele is lightweight, loud and resonant. It rings like a bell, even high up on the fretboard. I'm no expert on radiused necks, but this has one and it plays soooo easily. Perfect for those difficult barre chords. These vintage barrel tuners are a little finicky in my opinion, but they hold tune well once dialed in (in fact, when I pulled it out of the closet it was perfection tune). Can possibly be swapped out for a serious buyer (or you can add your favorite tuners). Come with hard case, pictured. Please reach out with any questions, and thanks for looking!

KoAloha Concert Scepter w/Pickup - Reunion Blues Case
I've had this uke several years, but it is really great condition without any issues. If you've been looking for a KoAloha Scepter I bet like me you have found they are few and far between. And this uke has some really nice Koa in it, while the front is fairly straight grained Koa, the back is stunning, lots of curl with nice chatoyance (when you move the uke around, it's like you see peaks and valleys in the grains... almost 3D!). And when they built this one, someone had an eye for matching up the grains where the top meets the top and bottom of the sides. I really had to look at it a while because it is almost like a continuation of the koa around the top and bottom (look at pics). In addition to the Koa, it has a LR Baggs 5.0 factory installed pickup (tested and working) with just a sound hole volume control. So this is a great opportunity to get a very rare uke that is above average any that might pop up! A couple other things I love about this model, the large 45 degree bevel on all the top and bottom edges, and the tie bridge with KoAloha carved into it! The tuners are stock rear facing KoAloha friction tuners and they work great. The Scepter story as Pop's KoAloha tells it: "One night he was lying down and all of a sudden on the ceiling was this shape dancing around." He thought he was imagining it so he closed his eyes but it was still there...quickly he grabbed a notepad and sketched the design. Pops feels it was a gift from God..."I believe this is a design that came from above was meant to be enjoyed by all" And I'm pretty sure Pops personally built all the Scepter ukes! There aren't many "comps" on Scepters and many of those you find were back when they were available from KoAloha. TUS has sold several over the years, one with a pickup sold new for $2000. The resale prices for these are all over the map. There's one currently on Reverb without a pickup for $1800. I also asked some friends at Hawaiian uke shops for their opinion on pricing and they said they have sold them used for as much as $2200. As you know, resale value is all tied to how available the uke is. KoAloha KTM-00's were cranked out at a steady pace and are very competitively priced used. Not so much with the Scepter. That said, I'm in no hurry to sell this vintage Scepter so my asking price of $1750 shipped to CONUS is firm. I will also consider trades of tenor ukes in the same price range but would rather cash it out. It ships in a great Reunion Blues concert case that fits it nicely. I prefer Paypal Friends and Family payment but I'm also ok with G&S if buyer adds 3% for fees. I'm also happy to do a Facetime chat with potential buyers so you can meet both me and the Scepter. Please ask any questions and I'll provide honest answers. I want no surprises when the new owner opens the case on their end.

KoAloha Concert - Nice Center Sapwood - KCM-00
It's hard to say more about KoAloha than has already been said. I'm a huge KoAloha fan, probably makes up 1/4 of my uke family. In my opinion this brand has the most consistent sound and build of any. Big full clean voice, beautiful build and finish and this uke has a beautiful sapwood center. Not too wide to look like a racing stripe, just the right amount. It has the rear facing friction tuners, a look preferred my many to side "ears". It's a 2021 and I'd call it Mint. I don't think you'll find a nicer example at a better price. $825 shipped CONUS in a hardshell case. PP F&F or G&S if you handle fees. Thanks for looking...
