New Listing PONO Cedar Top Rosewood Tenor Cutaway
I bought this PONO on October 2017 through theukulelesite, right before Pono discontinued its rosewood collection. Here is the listing link: https://www.theukulelesite.com/pono-rtc-c-pc-cedar-top-rosewood-tenor-cutaway.html This uke is in mint, nearly new condition. I changed the string once just to test out a new set of strings, but it was played only several time in total. It is stored in it is original koolau/pono case. I sell it to downsize my uke collection.

Price: $690.00 + $30.00 shipping, CONUS only. Paypal.

New Listing Gretsch Prototype Soprano Uke!
Aloha and thank you for looking! We continue to downsize our collection. I bought this beautiful Gretsch prototype Soprano Uke from Fender at an employee sale in 2006. Gretsch told me that they were built by Terada of Japan who builds some of the Gretsch and Fender models. Itblooks like Koa. The Uke is a one of a kind and do not believe it went into production. The fretboard has inlaid mother of pearl markers and very pretty maple (I think) binding and gold friction tuners. It is like new and has does not show any wear. These prototypes do not come up for sale very often. The Uke sounds GREAT and would be an excellent addition to any collection. Uke is sold as-is. The new owner to pay shipping. Mahalo for looking and make every day the best day ever!

New Listing Kamaka Soprano Long Neck (HF-1L)
This Kamaka is made on December 22, 2015. I brought it new during my trip to Hawaii on March 2016. It is in excellent condition, and it is kept in its original kamaka hardshell case. I got Jake autographed during his concert in November 2016. The reason I want to sell it is that I play tenor uke most of the time. The last time I play this uke was probably a year ago…. I want to find this baby a new home where it can be played and fully enjoyed.

New Listing 1922-23 Martin Ditson Dreadnought Style 0
This style 0 ukulele was first introduced in 1922, and features the highly desirable dreadnought body style, Ditson upgraded Champion key "patent" tuning pegs, and the Ditson stamp in both the sound hole and the back of the head stock. (Martin started stamping the Ditson models with their own C.F Martin stamp on the back of the head stock in early 1923.) Overall condition is very good for a 95 year old instrument. At some point in its life it developed two cracks along the back (pictured), but these have been tightly repaired and does not affect the sound or playability. It sounds beautiful and the finish has been polished to a beautiful sheen. ( Ditson had paid Martin to add a polish to some of their instruments, but it is not known if this is one of them.) I have restrung it with Worth Premium strings which give it a warm, rich tone. Newer hard case included. If you need any other pictures or angles, let me know, as I will be happy to send those to you. Thank you for your interest!

SOLDNew Listing Kamaka Gold Label Pineapple Uke!
Aloha and thank you for looking! We continue to thin out our collection and get it down to a dozen. We have a Kamaka Gold Label Pineapple Soprano uke in good used Condition. I’m guessing it was made in the late 50s or 60’s. I do not see any cracks or repairs. The finish has some light wear. The uke sounds great and would be a great travel, starter Uke, or fun Uke to just play.. It comes with a plaid gig bag that is more of a vinyl carry bag as there is not any real padding. The uke is sold as-is and new buyer to pay shipping. We accept PayPal. Mahalo again for looking, and make every day the best day ever!

New Listing Kamaka Gold Label Soprano!
Aloha and thank you for looking! We continue to thin out our collection and get it down to a dozen. We have a Kamaka Gold Label Soprano uke in good used and well loved condition. It has had a few cracks in the back repaired and there is a metal disc in the body of the uke that looks like it was part of the regluing process. I don't want to remove it as it may affect the sound. There was no way to get inside to photo. The uke sounds great and would be a great travel uke. It comes with a plaid gig bag that is more of a carry bag as there is not any real padding and the zipper does not zip. The uke is sold as-is and new buyer to pay shipping. We accept PayPal. New Listing Mono M80 Tenor Ukulele Case, like new
I love this case!! I would never sell it except that I no longer own a tenor. The M80 tenor ukulele case is one of the lightest, thinnest, strongest cases for ukuleles. It’s a hybrid case featuring an ultra-light laminated foam shell with strategically placed ABS panels. The M80 case provides an extremely high level of protection. Great features like the Headlock inside to secure the neck, and the waterproof Sharkskin outside make it great for travel. It also has a streamlined profile, outside zippered pouch, and shoulder strap that can be for right or left. Super plush interior too. It’s in excellent condition and never used outside my home. Shipping included in ConUS only. PayPal.

SOLD Vintage Bruko soprano
Vintage Bruko soprano, very good to excellent shape, made somewhere between late 40's and 1980, as verified with Bruko. Gloss finish. Very cool vintage uke, I just have too many here, and don't play this one as much. I find it better for fingerstyle play, but I'm more of a strummer. This one seems richer sounding, and less plinky than the other 2 Brukos I've owned. Comes in original blue drawstring bag. New Martin M600 strings. $125.00 shipped in CONUS only. Vintage Gibson TU-2
I bought this vintage and rare starburst Gibson tenor ukulele a few years ago and it has sat in what appears to be it’s original case with a humidfier since. It is believed to have been built around 1927. It’s too nice and expensive to just sit. It was a players ukulele in its day. The previous owner had the top professionally refinished by Third Coast Guitar. I will provide the communications I received from the previous owner. I am asking $1200 reduced to $1000 + shipping inside the conus.

SOLD Tabu Uke
Vintage TABU ukelele from between 1915 and 1925. There is no makers mark inside but the head stamp and body style are very similar to ukes that were sold by the Paul Summers shops in and around Honolulu, with a Paul Summers label inside. Summers did not build ukes, but had ukes made under his imprint by Kumulae, Sam Chang, and others. This ukelele has rope binding around the body and soundhole, a beautiful bowed back, and a straight neck. Great sound from this little guy. Price includes case, shipping extra.

New Dasilva Tenor Uke
The uke was completed on June 1, 2018. The body is Brazilian Rosewood, the headstock and rosette details are Snakewood. Dasilva custom made it to my specifications because I love the acoustic quality of B. Rosewood, and the aesthetics of Snakewood details. It is a 14-fret Tenor. I have played it, and the tone and action are beautiful. Reason for selling - the negative experience of waiting for 2 years for the ukulele to be completed. Consider it my loss, your gain, as Dasilva ukuleles are known for their lightness in weight, and pure, resonant tones. The selling price is $2200, which is less than the standard tenor price of Dasilva ukes. Brazilian rosewood is rare, and considered one of the top tonewoods. Save yourself uncertain waiting for years. Comes with semi-hard molded case. Shipping included. Continental US only.

Martin Soprano Ukulele "O" 1940s Vintage
This is probably a 1940s or a bit earlier uke. It is in great shape with no cracks or repairs. It has a nice pure sound and is very loud (according to Ukulele Dick, a local collector). The finish is a bit matt, compared to some "perfect" glossy ones I have seen, only a few skuffs to the finish, and no scratches, except on the back where a previous owner "Joe Kuhn" scratched in his name. We think this Joe Kuhn was the composer and musician from Pennsylvania who lived from 1924-62 but have no actual documentation. The ukulele comes in a vintage canvas bag (the zipper does not work) and I have a new "vintage style" black hardshell case I have been keeping it in that I will throw in for another $25. Here is something from youtube about Joe Khun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om4cAAx9MEM My father Joe Techner (pictured) was trumpet on the three Left Bank Bearcats "Dixieland" albums. Crazy solo at 1:54. The Left Bank Bearcat albums were knock-off albums probably made by Dave Miller's Somerset label to cash-in on the Dukes of Dixieland albums that debuted in May 1957. The recordings were locally supervised by Joe Kuhn, an army musician buddy of my dad. My dad recalled that the records were sort of "underground" since those responsible for them didn't go through the "proper channels" to make them. As a result, according to my father, Kuhn was beat up and later died. The official cause of death was cancer of the spinal cord following a two-year illness. Kuhn was probably beaten up for years of under-the-table recordings for Dave Miller. Miller imported recordings he supervised in Germany using readily-available cheap labor from the local musicans in post-World War II Europe. But Miller apparently didn't have the availability of French musicians at the time. So he tried to pass the Left Bank Bearcats LPs ("recorded in Paris") as some of these imports. Kuhn made the recordings hastily and clandestinely. However, local Philly musicians recognized the players' styles on the albums and the players themselves kidded about it. Those that controlled the music business came after Kuhn. Miller was elusive and was mostly abroad in Germany or England. Most of what we know about these recordings comes from trombonist Al Leopold, who also played trombone in the band of Jan Savitt from 1937 - 1941. Leopold told both PhilaVideo and Belgian jazz discographer Walter Bruyninckx the story. Leopold got a phone call from Dave Miller producer of the Somerset label to put a band together that had to play Dixieland music but had to sound like a French amateur band! Miller put out the recording "as recorded in Paris" with ficticious French names! Aaron Dubois was Joe Techner (trumpet), Marcel Durand was Al Leopold (trombone, leader), Jack Bonner was Frank Lewis (clarinet), Bertrand Gasté was Bernie Lowe (piano), Robert Eluist was Billy La Pata (banjo, guitar), Jon Gautreaux was Joe Kuhn (bass, tuba) and Jacques Cas was Jack Cassidy (drums). Al Leopold told me that the first album was Somerset P1400 recorded at the Reco-Art studio, 212 N. 12th St. in Philadelphia, but Al can't remember the exact dates although he thinks they must have been made 1956-1957. The second album was Somerset SF8300 and was recorded in Swarthmore, PA. The third album was Somerset P5300, recorded in Wallingford, PA and there's some history about this LP. Dave Miller choose as location a bar which had a room behind for all sorts of events. The bar and the room were both connected to the toilet in between. Miller wanted to add some echo to this LP and opened the toilet door on the room side. After the first number they were listening to the balance when suddenly there was a flush of a toilet so Dave decided they should make the record without an echo!" This "bar" was most likely Silvio "Babe" D'Ignazio's The Towne House in Media, Pa. A picture of this tavern is on Somerset LP # 7600. In a blog, Dave Stoddard accurately recounts how these recordings were viewed in Philly music circles, "The 1957 LPs were partly performances, partly musical jokes (hence the pseudonyms). I was aware of the records because friends of mine knew Al Leopold, and he had mentioned recording them. Once, to Leopold's absolute delight, a jazz aficionado trying to impress him described (erroneously) having heard the Left Bank Bearcats play in Paris." In 1997, I contacted Al Sherman, owner of Alshire Records in Burbank, Calif. At the time, Sherman owned the Somerset catalog. I told Sherman the recordings were not made in Paris and he became irate. He knew it was a lie. At the time, I purchased copies of the Left Bank Bearcats LPs from Sherman. He mailed me USED copies with the name Dave Miller crossed out on the liner notes! The Somerset catalog is now owned by Madacy Entertainment, Montreal. I contacted Madacy but they showed no interest nor provided any information when requested. They were more interested in Dave Miller's 1955 recordings of Bill Hailey and the Comets on his earlier Essex label. Philadelphia Evening Bulletin March 12, 1962, page 31: JOSEPH F. KUHN, Musical Director Joseph F. Kuhn, composer, arranger and conductor, died Saturday. He was 37 and lived at 2423 Poplar road, Havertown. Mr. Kuhn was musical director for Miller International Co., and was well known for his recording work in Hollywood, the east coast and Germany. Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie, an opera singer; three sons, Kevin, David and Joseph; his mother, Mrs. F. G. Kuhn, and a sister. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Oakmont. I recently met Joe Kuhn's son Kevin who remembered Miller well. Perhaps out of guilt, Miller hung treated them to boat trips down the shore. Miller died in London May 24, 1985.

1989 Graziano Concert Uke, six string ukulele
This is is a beautiful ukulele made by an acknowledged master luthier, Tony Graziano. This instrument has amazing vintage Koa wood (from Santa Cruz Guitar), real abalone inlay, and walnut binding. It is lightly braced so the sound is amazing. Tony made if for me in 1989 and I played it a lot back when I first got it (and wanted the full sound provided by the double strings to accompany my own singing) but now I play in bands using a 14 fret 4 string uke with pickup, so am selling this. $1,400 or best offer.

SOLD Mya-Moe Tenor
Mya-Moe Tenor #2493, I’m the original owner. This tenor was completed March 22, 2018. It’s in excellent condition and sounds beautiful. Additional images can be found on the Mya-Moe website. Details: Master Grade Koa back & sides, Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top, Bloodwood body binding, Bloodwood f/b binding, Abalone rosette, Mahogany neck/Ebony fretboard & bridge, Custom Signature headplate, Slotted Headstock w/Schertler, Hand-rubbed Oil finish, K&K Twin Spot passive, High G fourth string. This ukulele has a professionally installed pickguard (below the sound hole, Stewmac clear Mylar) by Terry Webb of Sundance Guitars. Terry has installed these on quite a few MM ukulele’s in our area. The pickguard made absolutely no difference in the sound. There is one button missing from the side of the MM case. I prefer a flat fretboard, which is the reason I’m selling. Price new was $2500.00. Asking $2050.00 + $25.00 USPS Priority shipping in CONUS. I will accept Paypal, personal checks must clear (may take up to two weeks) prior to shipping. Item posted before I could get all my photos included and I can't figure out how to add anymore? I will email additional photos when requested.

SOLD Blue Swirl Maccaferri Islander Uke (with padded gig bag) - SOLD!
Hi! I'm selling a beautiful example of the "less common" Blue Swirl Islander. Aside from some superficial scratches and scuffs on the back, this uke is in great shape. Currently strung with Aquilas, sounds pretty decent for a plastic uke! Of course, this is more for collectors than performers, though I have, on occasion, played it in public because it looks so nice! If you'd like it, I'll get a shipping estimate and get back to you with the total cost. A padded gig bag is included. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks so much, Jerry (In Sheffield, MA - right down the street from the Magic Fluke Company!!!)

New Custom Oulcraft Concert Ukulele
Ukulele Guild of Hawaii (UGH) luthier, Jungtae Kim, established his business of handcrafted ukuleles under the tutelage of world renowned UGH ukulele and guitar luthier, Takahashi Shinji of Japan's famed T's Ukuleles and custom line, Seilen Ukulele. Jungtae, together with his wife, Seoyoon Na, who oversees the aesthetics in design behind each build and his younger brother, Hyuntae, who manages the ideation process - the team handcrafts both base model ukuleles with a custom flair and fully handcrafted custom ukuleles out of Korea under the provenance of 'Oulcraft'. This progressive longneck African Mahogany wood concert ukulele (MOBIC) was meticulously handcrafted with a simple but elegant theme in mind. Wonderful attention to detail by luthier, Jungtae Kim, the lines of this instrument are very attractive. It boasts a Spanish Cedar neck, which allows for increased structural integrity at a fraction of the weight of its more commonly employed Mahogany or Koa wood necks, and a upgrade to a musician's grade Macassar ebony wood fingerboard and bridge with a classy Owl or 'Oul' feather upgrade to a mother of pearl half-rosette. Gorgeous Oulcraft logo at the headstock and a thin urethane finish that yields the natural characteristics of the Hawaiian Koa wood. Professional open geared Gotoh UK 700 tuners for smooth and precise tuning. Beautiful mother-of-pearl waxing and waning moons tastefully inlaid on position markers on 5,7,10,12, and 15. This ukulele also has a hybrid scale - meaning it has a 16 inch scale from nut to saddle.  Many longneck concert ukuleles have a true tenor scale of (roughly) 17 inches from nut to saddle but this one finds its sweetest spot in tone, comfort, and playability to be right in between at 16 inches from nut to saddle. As a result you have a slightly longer scale than the typical concert, which is typically around 15 inches but not nearly as long as a full tenor scale at 17 inches.  The result is a perfect balance for someone who wants a little more room on the fingerboard than a traditional concert scale of 15 inches, great playability and tone, and the light weight adds to the great projection and sustain of the instrument as well. In terms of a similar scale length of something currently on the market, this ukulele would be comparable to the scale length of a Kamaka Ohta-san bell shape ukulele. This instrument is surprisingly light in weight and similar in projection, responsiveness, clarity and tone to a custom Kanile'a ukulele. The workmanship is impeccable and the instrument is easy to cradle and hold when being played. The instrument employs a lattice brace system on the underside of the soundboard with a small but refined bridge footprint, enabling for optimum 'excitement' of the soundboard as transference of energy from the strings to the bridge to the soundboard occurs when being played. This custom Oulcraft ukulele is wonderful for both fingerpicking and strumming and has excellent clarity, sustain, and projection while offering wonderful separation from one note to the next. A highly recommended custom ukulele from one of UGH's newest members, Jungtae Kim. VIDEO: https://vimeo.com/222062896

SOLD Pono ACD Solid Acacia Concert - $330, including shipping
SOLD This a real beauty, and it sounds great. It’s solid acacia. I bought it in March from Hawaii Music Supply, and you know what a good job they do with setup. It’s had very little use because I have so many other ukes. I have to thin my collection, and I’m reluctantly putting this one up for sale. It looks nice, it sounds nice, and the price, including shipping, is over $100 below what it cost me a few months ago. Pay with PayPal, and it will go out within one business day, Priority Mail, insured.

SOLD Kiwaya KS-5 Mahogany Soprano with Gotoh Tuners - $275, inc shipping
I ordered Gotoh geared tuners ($84) from Japan. They arrived two months later, and I replaced the direct pegs. The Gotohs are a big improvement, and they look much better than the white tuners that came with the uke. I have to make room, so this beautiful Kiwaya KS-5 is going up for sale. I’ve had it for a less than half a year, so it’s in great condition. It’s lightweight and loud, with a very nice tone. I bought it from Elderly. Barry Maz gave it a great review. https://www.gotaukulele.com/2012/12/kiwaya-ks-5-soprano-ukulele-review.html He loved it, as I do, but I have too many. Pay with PayPal, and it will go out Priority Mail, insured within one business day.
