New Listing Custom Kula 'Big Blue Marble' Tenor Ukulele - SALE
New. A work of art! Beautiful custom tenor Kula ukulele handcrafted by master luthier Crist Pung of the Big Island, HI. Crist handcrafts very unique aesthetically pleasing ukuleles that also play wonderfully for both the professional musician and recreational player. This wonderful custom tenor ukulele was handcrafted from gorgeous Hawaiian Kiawe wood back and sides harvested from a private estate on the Big Island of Hawaii and a master grade set of Englemann spruce on the soundboard, giving this instrument excellent low end with a responsive bright and full tone. A beautiful Hawaiian hardwood and family of spreading Mesquite trees, a moderately sized Hawaiian Kiawe tree bears spines and yellowish flowers with spikes throughout it's branches. It is a legume since it does have long pods filled with small brown seeds and is native to Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru.  In woodworking, it is most noted for its tremendous density and golden brown color with chocolatey streaks and blonde sap wood. Kiawe wood is as unique and beautiful a hardwood out of Hawaii as can be with wonderful tonal offerings and an aesthetic appeal entirely unique to is own from the islands. Matching Hawaiian Kiawe wood fretboard with a natural wood knot accent - attributing to the unique aesthetic character traits of this wood, a Kiawe wood bridge, and Kiawe wood top head-plate with mitered purfling in keeping with the theme of the instrument. Gorgeous Purple Heart wood top and back binding with mitered purple and black accent lines on the fingerboard. Matching Purple Heart wood back headstock plate. Contrasting black-white-black purfling lines on top, back, sides, giving the contours of the instrument greater definition while attesting to the skill-level of the luthier, Crist Pung. The neck was carved from Honduran Mahogany wood and a carbon fiber truss-rod was inserted for added stability and sustain. 14 frets to the body and 18 overall frets to the soundhole.  Vintage bone nut and saddle and professional Waverly open-geared tuners with Ebony wood buttons for precise tuning are a few more amenities to this beautiful instrument. The inlay...absolutely meticulous! The headstock inlay theme of this ukulele is 'Big Blue Marble', with the classic 'Great Wave' of Kanagawa cresting out in the deep big blue ocean - in tribute to a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai originally printed sometime between 1829 - 1833. Accent 'marble' appeal coin inlay rosette with black-white-black purfling lines throughout. Headstock inlay constitutes of blue abalone shell, mother-of-pearl, and reconstructed stone. A truly wonderful piece of art themed perfectly in commemorating the long history between Hawaii and Japan through the use of the Kiawe wood and in combination with the 'Great Wave' inlay, making this a beautiful piece of art and a professional grade recording instrument. Wonderful depth of tones from this wood combination with remarkable clarity, brightness and low end. The instrument is also very well center balanced which makes for a very comfortable instrument as you cradle it up against your body. String action is set rather high but adds to the projection of the uke. For this reason, the instrument has been discounted significantly to get it into the hands of the right player. New Listing Custom Martin 'Style 3' Concert Ukulele - SALE
Pre-owned Custom Martin Style 3 Concert Ukulele. Custom C.F. Martin concert ukulele handcrafted by the custom shop at C.F Martin & Co. in Nazareth, PA. This gorgeous and historical piece boasts appointments similar to the legendary vintage style 3 with slight customized variation. Martin custom ukuleles are amongst the most desirable ukuleles to have ever been handcrafted out of the custom shop at the C.F. Martin factory and are only available in extremely limited numbers. This one is a wonderful example of a gorgeous custom concert ukulele with a one-piece Madagascar Rosewood back and sides and appointments similar to the vintage style 3 model. The Custom C.F. Martin & Co ‘Style 3’ concert ukulele is characterized by a gorgeous quartersawn Madagascar Rosewood back and sides with a Adirondack spruce soundboard and matching rosewood headstock veneer and 'whale-tail' inlay toward the butt of the soundboard. Honduran mahogany wood neck for added stability, 12 fret joint to the body, Macassar Ebony wood fretboard and bridge with 18 overall frets to the soundhole, Maple wood top and back binding with matching Maple wood bound fretboard and headstock, diamond style abalone inlaid position markers on positions  5, 7, and 10, and professional  open-geared Grover tuners for precise and smooth tuning. The instrument also prides itself with a meticulous abalone shell ‘torch’ inlay on the headstock and a 5-ply purfling accent line with abalone shell rosette for aesthetic appeal. There is some extremely minor play wear on the fretboard but the uke remains in near perfect original condition. Original C.F. Martin & Co. hard case included. The overall weight of the instrument varies slightly from that of the production made concert model ukuleles. This could be due in part to the subtle differences in the density of the woods or amount of abalone shell used between this full custom piece and that of the all standard concert models. The ukulele is very well balanced and all seams and joints are cleanly connected and meticulously handcrafted. The edges of the instrument is also ‘soft’ and easy to cradle against your chest when playing. Tonally, it’s a classic Martin tone; full and round with nice projection, clarity, and sustain of the instrument. A very nice piece! This gorgeous instrument is a wonderful example of a C.F. Martin & Co custom concert 'Style 3' ukulele crafted with the contemporary musician and Martin enthusiast in mind. A highly recommended piece for the collector, recreational artist, and professional musician. VIDEO 1: https://vimeo.com/272839917 VIDEO 2: https://vimeo.com/210085543

New Listing Tiny Tenor - Rosewood + Spruce
Like New Romero Creations Tiny Tenor, Solid Rosewood back and sides with Solid spruce top. If you are unfamiliar, these ‘ukuleles were created by luthier Pepe Romero, Jr. with Daniel Ho. The scale length is a tenor scale, the body is the tone of a tenor, but the overall length is that of a concert size ‘ukulele. Bone nut and saddle. High gloss finish. Black strap button on the bottom. The nut is slightly wider than some ‘ukuleles for ease of playing, approx. 1 3/8” wide. Currently it is strung with PhD strings, high G. Abalone sound hole rosette. The soft case is original with Romero Creations embossed on the front and red piping/trim with backback straps. When I was looking for a rosewood ‘ukulele 4 years ago I investigated the Tiny Tenor. I communicated with Jason Arimoto from U-Space (Los Angeles) and he handpicked this one out of his small stash of rosewood Tiny Tenors. I don’t think you can find many rosewood ‘ukuleles these days! I’m selling due to a left hand injury and I play very limited music. Really a bummer. This ‘ukulele is like new with minimal play-time. Kept in a climate controlled, smoke-free home. Comes with original soft case. Asking $700 + shipping. 48 hour approval. More pictures available. Thanks for looking!

New Listing Pono Baritone solid body deluxe gloss electric thin body
Solid acacia chambered body (lighter weight) with cedar top and gloss finish (an additional $75 feature). Macassar ebony faceplate, fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, radiused fingerboard, scale length 20" (Baritone ukulele, tuning DGBE), passive Pono undersaddle pickup, high quality geared machine tuners, strap buttons, final setup done in Hawaii by the Ko’olau guys. Includes original Ko’olau/Pono hardshell case.Fantastic sounding instrument! Top has 2 areas of finish ‘checking.’ I think this happened when it was shipped to me several years ago. I am very picky and it has never bothered me - they are hard to see and do not affect tone or integrity. According to those who know, these ukuleles have the best electric ukulele sound you will find (and I agree)! Kept in a non-smoking/no pets home. This video is what convinced me to buy it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQJXWOFRCFM If you want a pro level baritone with top of the line recording and live capabilities, you will love this instrument! I’m selling because I have a hand injury and I’m selling a lot of my instruments. Includes original hardshell case. Other than the finish cracks it looks new. This is great sounding and a fantastic deal. More pictures available. A new Deluxe Gloss Baritone is $750 if you can find one. Asking $495. Buyer pays shipping. 48 hour approval. Thanks for looking!

New Listing Custom KoAloha Concert with UPT tuners and pyrography
KoAloha Concert KCM-00 Almost brand new KoAloha concert ‘ukulele. Solid koa, Hawaiian made. Pyrography of a hibiscus flower on top. Really beautiful. I had a luthier install Gotoh UPT pearloid tuners, (ukulele planetary tuners). UPT's have the look and weight of friction tuners, but are a 4:1 gear ratio. Low action. Strap buttons. This is a beautiful sounding and looking Concert KoAloha. The pyrography is stunning. The geared UPT tuners are fantastic - much, much better than the KoAloha tuners! I have a left hand injury and I was hopeful that a smaller/shorter scale ‘ukulele would be easier for me. Sadly this is not the case. This ‘ukulele is lovely and sitting in its case, virtually unplayed. Still smells new too! If I could play it I would never sell it! Includes original KoAloha tuners. Includes new Kala hardshell case.Asking $750 + shipping. Additional photos are available. 48 hour approval. Thanks for looking.

New Listing Kanilea K1-T Premium Tenor
I recently purchased this beautiful tenor ukulele on here. I'm at least the 2nd owner, but I see no flaws. It has been well taken care of. Previous owner said it has a rosewood bridge and fretboard. He had replaced the black plastic(?) Bridge pins with what I believe is ebony; old bridge pins included. I will replace the current strings with the ones it had when I recieved it. Comes with hard shell case (as shown in picture), and inside the case, it has a serial number card. It will be sent out with a nylon low G setup. Plays great. I just purchased a Custom Concert Flea, and enjoy the Concert size more. Feel free to send offers. I will need to insure the shipment. PayPal only, CONUS. P.S. I am currently searching for an Anuenue Moonbird Concert or Kanilea Concert (Gloss). I also have another Concert Flea I can sell. If someone is interested, we can discuss. Thanks!

Kanilea K-1
Kanilea K-1 I didn’t think I’d ever want to sell this but I play mostly bass these days and my Pono chambered electric baritone. I just don’t play this and could use the money for some other things. It has a beautiful buttery sound, a great Kanilea. It’s in great condition except for a light belt indentation on the back which is hard to see unless you turn it in the light. Look at the photo. I couldn’t really show it. Otherwise excellent condition. If you’ve heard of Stephen Strauss, he heard me play it and was amazed by the beauty of the sound. Mike DaSilva gave him a very special custom James Hill tenor and still he was impressed by this Kanilea. You pay shipping and insurance from Honolulu Email, please. Do not call. PayPal only. Ships from Honolulu. I’m the only owner.

Custom Larrivee Soprano Ukulele
(C.1999). New old stock. Beautiful and meticulously made Custom Larrivee Soprano Ukulele handcrafted in British Columbia, Canada by legendary luthier Jean Larrivee. In the 1960s, Larrivee showed great interest in classical guitar, he attended a performance by skilled guitarist Edgar Munch Jr. and after the show, Jean meets the performer's father - world-renowned German luthier Edgar Munch Sr. Impressed by Larrivee's keen interest in classical guitar making, Munch agrees to take young Jean on as an apprentice. By 1977, Larrivee has gained the respect of players and luthiers worldwide. Bruce cockburn and Peter Yarrow of the group Peter, Paul, and Mary became the first high profile artists to turn to a Larrivee guitar. He then sought to provide his handcrafted guitars across Canada and also export them to Europe. US artists also soon made the trip North, in hopes of acquiring a Jean Larrivee guitar. In the early 1990s, Larrivee also began handcrafting finely crafted ukuleles. The instruments out of the shop from this time period were masterpieces - both beautiful and with a great tone. Today, Larrivee is fresh into his mid 70s, and showing no signs of slowing down. If you head to his workshop, even today, you will find a humble man working in the corner, covered in dust, carving necks, and still smiling. Larrivee has been building musical instruments since 1960s and ukuleles, specifically, since 1990s. He continues his masterful art and has also trained up a team to carry on his legacy in finely handcrafted ukuleles and guitars. His instruments are world renowned and they are loved by musicians and recreational players throughout the world. SOLD Kanile'a Platinum 'Super Tenor' Ukulele
2020. Preowned. Kanile'a Platinum 'Super Tenor' Ukulele. Since before Kanile'a was founded, Joe Souza was innovating and creating new and sometimes outrageous designs. His first ukulele was a concert body with a tenor neck, now known as a super-concert or long-neck concert. Other designs that were pushing the boundaries have made an impact in the ukulele world, like the guitarlele, super-tenor, and the 19" tenor scale length. Having grown up as an ukulele player, Joe understood what might work well, from a player's perspective. It took years to perfect the craft of playing as well as building. Musicianship was taught to Joe by his late mother and his late aunt starting when he was in the 4th grade. His training as a luthier began with the late, "Uncle" Peter Bermudez in 1991. Though gone, their teachings will never be forgotten. Now his 3 sons, Kaimana, Iokepa, and Kahiau are actively learning and absorbing the knowledge that has been passed down through many generations. Blending new age abilities and paying homage to the education from previous generations, Kanile'a is proud to present the 2020 Limited Edition Platinum Super Tenor. With the input from Joe, Kaimana, Iokepa, and Kahiau, the Souza men collaborated on this model to create something truly spectacular. This instrument is the first Platinum model that was not solely designed by Joe. SOLD Custom I'iwi '1879 Model' Tenor Ukulele - NEW
New. Custom 'I'iwi '1879 Model' Tenor Ukulele. Phenomenal player uke paying tribue to the forefathers of the ukulele - August Dias, Manuel Nunes, and Jose do Espirito Santo. The 1879 Model is a new design handcrafted by master luthier Charlie Fukuba of Makakilo, Oahu. This tribute piece bears a slightly less rounded body shape at the shoulders and a tighter waistline in contrast to the more dreadnought design of his traditional tenor body. This new body mold offers a wonderful sound with an aesthetic all its own. It is a blend of old traditions such as the rope binding, Hawaiian coat of arms headstock inlay, and the roman numeral position markers to name a few. Simultaneously, it is a wonderful blend of modern luthierie by which Charlie incorporated a side sound port, a contemporary body design, and so much more. The attention to detail is wonderful and in collaboration with his son, this instrument is the first model to be designed by Charlie and his son - testifying to I'iwi's commitment to the finest materials, craftsmanship, and creativity in skilled ukulele luthiery from Hawaii. Gorgeous master grade Hawaiian curly Koa wood back and sides from Charlie's special 'reserve' of premium woods and his first ukulele handcrafted with a figured Redwood soundboard; this full custom ʻI'iwi '1879 Model' tenor ukulele also boasts an instrument grade West African Gabon ebony fretboard and bridge with a Walnut wood veneer and Hawaiian coat of arms headstock inlay of Maple wood. Elegant and complimentary Rocklike wood top and back composite binding with an classy top, back, and side profile b-w purfling line for aesthetic appeal. Rocklite is a revolutionary and totally environmentally friendly approach to tonewoods for musical instruments. It looks and sounds like real ebony, and is very black unlike most ebony available today. The neck has been carved from Honduras mahogany wood and has a graphite composite rod insert for increased structural integrity and added sustain with a bolt-on neck that is accessed through the strap pin at the butt of the instrument. Period-specific roman numeral position markers on the 3, 5, 7, 10, and 12th positions respectively just as what was used on all official government documents published in the Hawaiian Kingdom of its time. A special roman numeral XXV was inlaid on position 15 celebrating Charlie's 25th year of ukulele luthiery in 2020. Side-of-neck position markers for a quick and accurate top-down reference for each chord. Ebony and maple wood inlay was used for the Hawaiian Kahili rosette, adding to the wonderful theme of this gorgeous ukulele. The Hawaiian Kahili is the symbol of the ali'i or 'Hawaiian Chiefs' and represents the families and governing parties of the Hawaiian Islands of yesteryear. Side sound port for monitor like experience when playing bound with Black-White ebony wood. The body design is entirely unique and less rounded than his traditional model with a slightly tighter waistline, giving it a more warm and traditional sound. Hand-rubbed true oil finish for a smooth to the touch feel. Professional Gotoh UPT geared tuners for smooth and precise tuning. The aesthetics of this Custom I'iwi '1879 Model' Tenor Ukulele brings you back to a time of historical significance in Hawaii's history. A time when the ukulele was first created by the forefathers. A. Dias, M. Nunes, and J.E. Santo under the rule of King David Kalakaua and his Hawaiian Kingdom. Tonally, this piece is a true gem and a remarkable ukulele for recording musicians or ukulele enthusiasts. Full recording level instrument with a balanced and warm tone. Excellent projection and clarity. This beauty has the sound of a seasoned instrument although it was only just completed. Very well balanced structurally and tonally with refined notes all the way up the neck and spot on intonation. Highly recommended tribute piece for the seasoned player, ukulele enthusiast, or collector. VIDEO: https://vimeo.com/464647780

2009 G String Custom Concert Ukulele
Took me a few years to find this and can’t believe I have to let it go but circumstances force a sale. If you’ve ever owned a G String Classic from the islands you know the quality of these very difficult to find instruments. And to top it off, this one has Master Level Koa and can be described as a Custom! The prior owners thoughts below, price is firm and buyer to pay shipping and any fees. Don’t wait too long, check out the prices on the new G String Customs and you’ll see this is a great buy! Price is $1495 with buyer paying any shipping or fees. Email for pics. Blessings and Mahalo!!!! About This Listing Serial number 20119.  According to a thread on ukulele underground the first two numbers indicate the number of the unit made, followed by the month and the year.  So, it appears that this was the 20th instrument made in November of 2009 We emailed G-String and here is what Derek Shimizu said, "that grade of koa would be premium/master grade stuff by today's standards. I wouldn't use that koa on anything under $3k retail value today." A very rare ukulele not often found and it is in near mint condition. Specifications: Ultra flamed Koa top, back and sides with Natural Original Finish Rosewood Fretboard and artistically carved Bridge 1-15/32" nut Top bound with faux tortoise shell binding  Abalone Rosette inlay around sound hole. Abalone Inlay Logo on Headstock 19 fret fingerboard with T-frets Small abalone dot inlays at 5th, 7th and 10th fret positions 16" Scale Overall Length 24.5" Width: 8.25" Original grover open tuners Uke Crazy Case Condition: This instrument is just, well, simply spectacular.  It has been gently played but I listed it as mint because I honestly cannot find any faults with this beauty.  The flaming on the Koa is breathtaking as are the faux tortoise shell binding and abalone rosette and inlaid logo. Visual inspection: No warping is present, braces are secure and the neck is straight. Tapping Inspection: instrument resonates nicely and evenly with no sharp noises from loose braces present. Playability: As you'd expect, a nice vibrant tone that resonates nicely.  Great action. For me the instrument is playing just as you'd expect a custom Hawaiian built Ukulele to perform: a warm responsive, robust sound that is bright and clear. Suitable for collector, professional player or dedicated passionate strummer/picker About This Listing Serial number 20119. SOLD Pono Spruce Top Mahogany Deluxe Slothead Tenor (MTSH-SP) (2020) + Bundle
A mint condition, top-of-the-line, beautiful, Pono Tenor ukulele - the 'Pono Spruce Top Mahogany Deluxe Slothead Tenor (MTSH-SP)' ------------------- This instrument was purchased only about 4 months ago this summer. I purchased both a tenor and baritone variation on this Pono design. I decided to focus on Baritone right now and so I've decided to sell off this amazing tenor. The sound from these are amazing - as anyone who has played a Pono can attest to; the combination of the punchy Engelmann spruce top and the Honduran mahogany produces a sweet, piano-like tone. Serial number is listed here and this is the number it came with, but indeed it was bought only 4 months ago, however the inner body parts at least date to 2018. From what I understand, some bodies were built but not made into complete instruments until some time later. However, 2018 was the year Pono upgraded their inner bracing scheme and I've never heard a dull one from that year on. There are only the most minor polish scratches on the instrument. You can see a slight ding right near the sound hole edge of the serial # picture. This ding has been there since I received it and its imperceptibly small in real life. This bundle includes the Deluxe Oahu hard case, truss-rod adjuster tool, case straps untouched, deluxe polishing cloth, authentic Hawaii Music Supply certificate, Humistat ukulele humidifier (unopened) and two sets of strings - opened, slightly used (one Tenor Low-G, one Tenor DGBE) This instrument features the radius fretboard and truss rod reinforced neck, as well as slotted headstock. Original item description can be found here: https://theukulelesite.com/pono-mtsh-sp-spruce-top-mahogany-tenor-deluxe.html ————————— Stress that this bundle is in as-good-as new condition ! The full setup has been done by The Ukulele Site and plays perfectly with just the right action level, if you prefer lower action. The instrument has been cleaned and conditioned by me, and kept in a well climate-controlled environment and never exposed to extreme temperature or humidity. It will be kept humidified until ready to ship. Feel free to ask any questions & Good luck !! Shipments will be done via FedEx Ground - insured, and signature required
