Has anybody played one? I hear fit and finish are well done but how do they sound?

I never played a Romero instrument. I never heard of one until you brought it up. All the same, for instruments made in Vietnam they are overpriced.

Recently, due to health and financial reasons, I had to sell just about all my instruments, amps, PAs, and gear. While I did alright on low end ukes, guitars, mandos, etc., there simply is no market for high-end instruments made outside of the US of A. So, highly regarded high-end Japanese guitars made in the late 60s through the 2000's, have little resale value. Indeed guitars I purchased for $1500-$2000 only 12 years ago, now go for $300, although the new ones are still going for $1500-$2000.

Needless to say, I made out quite nicely on all my vintage made in the USofA instruments.

Actually, I own a Romero Creations XS Soprano that I'm looking to sell to fund the purchase of another Romero instrument. Each one is hand made and quality inspected by Pepe Romero Jr. himself. He would not put his name on poor quality as he has a long family history of high quality guitars being made with the Romero name on them. I have the Spruce/Koa with Living Waters Strings and the LoBella low G on it. It's extremely well made, all solid wood, high quality hand made build. They pack a lot of punch for such a little instrument and it's very portable. It's in perfect condition. If you're interested email me at Shooey at AOL dot com. Look for an ad posting to come soon!

I own a Tiny Tenor made of all Koa. They play well, sound great and are smaller than a typical Tenor, but have the tenor scale neck, so it is the one I use for travel.

I am actually looking for the Spruce/Rosewood version, and whichever one I like the best, the other will be sold.

As far as price, they seem to sell used at about 70-80% of their value, which isn't too bad when others are much lower.
