(1) If concert ukes and tenor ukes are tuned the same, GCEA, how do they differ in the sound produced?
(2) Are concert ukes light enough to be supported without the use of a strap? I used to have a baritone uke and needed a strap to hold it up.
(3) Can 3 finger bluegrass rolls be adapted to reentrant tuned concert ukes?
Thanks !!

Mike,
A concert uke produces a tone more closely aligned with the classic soprano sound and I've never had to use a strap to support mine. In terms of three finger rolls in reentrant tuning, I use them all the time. That's one of the beautiful things about high G.

I agree with ukeguy (2: no strap needed and 3: rolls are fun on the uke) and just wanted to add (1) that the difference is mainly in the different scale length (string tension, and hence vibration/overtones) and the different size of the soundbox.
Mind you, tenors were usually NOT tuned GCEA but rather DGBE - check out the early Lyle Ritz recordings.
