I just did a vanity search and my first post was over 20 years ago. I am still going strong but have evolved over the years. For those of you who have lost touch, want to reconnect, need me to identify an old 'Howlett' you can find me here still strutting my stuff:

Great to hear from you again, Pete!
I stopped building a few years ago because of some medical problems, not the least of which was losing a good deal of my hearing, but I still do repairs and adjustments and enjoy hanging with my old ukulele buddies.

Holy Smokes! Some of the old timers have emerged here.
Good to know you are still around, Dave. I tried to get in touch with you a few years back but was unsuccessful. Hope all is well.

All is well, Dominic. Nearly deaf, but coping.
Just saw your latest soprano on the Marketplace. Looks outstanding. Glad to see you are still building!

Nice to see a few uke folk from past years are still around and active on here. This was the first uke forum i joined and participated in all those years ago. Dave both Glyph's you built for me are still going strong. Have fun people...

Heck...I was one of those new guys asking those newbe questions. My first post wasn't until 2006! There were some very serious and sometimes heated discussions back in those days... and those threads were usually very entertaining. :-)

I have been out for a while myself, dealing with my ill spouse the last couple years. Nice to be back, and see some familiar faces. So to speak.

I had to join in also. For myself, I'm playing uke in an antebellum band on the streets of Tombstone, AZ. Nice and peaceful here. The best to all of you I know and don't know. Sorry to hear about your ears Dave.
