Uking Under the Tuscan Sun
Discover the magic of Tuscany. Peter Moss and Francesco Albertazzi will share their vast ukulele knowledge in daily workshops and evening open mics where we will perform under the stars at an historic Tuscan villa. A week of cooking classes, amazing food, wine tours, Etruscan lore and of course, ukulele music! Join us!

KYukefest is an event that is firmly grounded in the Bluegrass. The festival opens with a Friday night curated open mic for up and coming ukulele players at the historic Lyric Theater in downtown Lexington, KY. The rest of the weekend features classes from Heidi Swedburg and Daniel Ward along with bourbon and horse farm tours.

4th annual event. Open sided covered pavilion. 11 am. free instruction to new players. First jam session, music will be posted, open mike and lunch break, followed by second jam session. Pavilion has toilet rooms. Please bring a chair and music stand. Food available at close by convenient stores.

Time: 11 am to 6 pm
Ukulele Workshop series with Jim Beloff at Wesleyan University
In the first of three classes, there will be an introduction to the basics of playing the ukulele: holding, tuning, strumming, and making chords. A dozen or so well-known songs will be played, along with learning new chords, strums, tips, and techniques along the way. The second class reinforces the techniques of the first with a new set of songs drawn from our Daily Ukulele songbooks. The final class takes skills to a new level. Another dozen or so well-known songs will be played while learning more chords, new fingerings, new strums, a picking pattern, reading ukulele tablature, transposing on the fly, and performance tips and techniques.
