This is a new group, Called the Southern Maine & NH, Uke, Guitar, Etc., Seacoast Strummers. I have had this group on the back burner and runway since 2008. My name is Mike Snyder and our group just lifted off the ground and taken flight July 30th, 2013. I am the leader, organizer, sponsor and host to this MeetUp group. Our website is on the next line that you may have to copy and past onto your internet browser. http://www.meetup.com/Southern-Maine-NH-Uke-Guitar-Etc-Seacoast-Strummers/ I am a self taught guitar and baritone ukulele player who used the piano to understand music theory. I also sing, I have sung in my church choir and sang men's barbershop / A Cappella style 4 part close harmony that has given me even a better understanding of harmony. When you have four people singing a major seventh chord in tune it is a glorious sound. A, G major chord is a 3 note chord, a, G major7th chord is a 4 note chord. So please copy and paste the link if you have to above into you browser and navigate the multiple page website. Please consider joining as a dues paying member. $30 dollars a year if you would like to join online or $15 dollars cash in person for six months. Friday night Rehearsal / Jam every Friday night on Mike Snyder's back porch. Bring your ukes, guitars, upright base, sax, horn, harp any instrument that has strings, Celtic drum, bongos, and what I consider the most importent instrument your voice. Senior Citizens and disabled membership is $20 a year. US military and veterans membership $25 a year. Every one else the membership is $30 a year.
