Want to learn to play lead or comp (accompany/backup other musicians) with style? Then this is the group for you. You will learn more music theory, chart reading, arranging, and good playing techniques. Add to this the ability to hear changes and harmonies and you can comp with anyone. Our instructional focus: physical approach; clarity of sound; accuracy of form; tonal integrity... You will be able to draw on 40-years experience with our quality instructors. Join us - it is FREE *IF* you are a member of an organized uke group. We also provide public performance opportunities for talented players/singers under our tutoring. REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate level playing ability and a dedication to practice. Practice is the key to better musicianship. Generally speaking, the more you practice, the better your music becomes and the more people want to hear it. This is an ALL MUSIC group, with little if any ethnic history or language contained herein. The UKULELE is our focus, so leave your banjos, guitars, and fiddles at home.
