Hello, I play baritone uke and sing lots! I'm looking to co-form a small group with 2 or 3 other people, who are interested in many, varied musical styles (and with plenty of vocals & harmonies too). Some of my influences: Hendrix, Hank Wangford, Syd Barret, the Beatles, Hank Williams, the Groundhogs, Loudon Wainwright III, Spirit, the Comedian Harmonists, THE BONZO'S, Frank Ifield, King Crimson, Goran Bregovic, Hawkwind, Ravi Shankar, the Kinks, Janis Joplin, Frank Chickens, Back Door, the Goons, Deep Purple, T Rex, the Undertones, Trio Bulgarka, Ry Cooder and, of course, Kevin Ayers! Many years ago I used to be a drummer/vocalist in a hippy Cream inspired jamming band, a melodic rock band, an almost tuneful punk band, a very tuneful new age band (in Australia) - then I swapped me kit for a banjo and came back to London - the rest is history! I also play guitar and tamboura (the Bulgarian small bouzouki version) & ..... percussion. I'd like to meet and play with people in West London, preferably near to Hammersmith, with a view to performing to an audience of some sort, whether it's for a singalong or to form a group.
