I began learning ukulele with a small group of expats in Mexico about 3 years ago and consider myself an intermediate player. I bought my Fender tenor uke at a music store in Guadalajara. I have since acquired a soprano and a hand-painted baritone (tuned GCEA). Our small group mushroomed into a group of about 35 during the "snow bird" season. We were instrumental in also starting a ukulele academy for needy children, which now has more than 45 students with a very knowledgeable Mexican instructor. Since we've moved back to Colorado Springs, I'm missing a ukulele group very much and am very interested in being part of a group here in the Springs. Driving to Lakewood is just too far. Let's get together.
