New Listing Alspach Soprano Ukulele
This ukulele was completely hand made (no power tools). It is an attempt to recreate the look and feel of a 1910's or 1920's hawaiian uke (asymmetry, tool marks, and all) using affordable local woods. It has a poplar neck with set in brass bar frets. No separate fretboard. Spanish heel construction. The body is solid cherry. This is very humble wood showing knots and such. The nut is cherry. The pegs are hand carved poplar. It has an oak bridge. The bracing is oak, braced exactly like the old Hawaiians. One brace above the sound hole one below. One back braced arched to create a curved back. Buyers please be aware that you are not buying a perfect looking machine or computer cut ukulele. This Uke shows imperfections and asymmetry (that's the whole idea). That being said, this is a solid nice sounding and playing Uke. Scale length is traditional 13". Total length is 19". Body length 8.5". Search "Alspach soprano ukulele" on YouTube for video. Check or PayPal accepted.

New Listing Pono Solid Mahogany Soprano MS New/Old Stock Never Played
This instrument is a factory first that has never been played. I purchased it from an over stocked dealer so Dixie Ukuleles is the second owner therefore we are selling it as Pre-Owned. As with any ukulele we sell, we guarantee you satisfaction; buyer has a 24 hr inspection period. This MS solid mahogany soprano is new/old stock; it has never been played. Pono’s first ukuleles were made in China, these were high quality instruments (see Ko’olau’s web site). Logistical problems forced Pono’s operation to move to Indonesia. The Pono up for sale is part of the original group. It is a high quality factory first professional instrument. On the internet discount Hawaii sites an MS goes for $303.00 + shipping from Hawaii. Dixie Ukuleles is offering this MS at the extreme low price of $195 plus $20 flat rate shipping to lower 48.

SOLD Mystery Vintage Pineapple
This is a concert sized pineapple, but there is no label so I have no clue who as to who manufactured it or the date when it was made. By it's looks, I would say it is quite old. It is generally Koa, except perhaps the headstock. The tuners are plastic and are a bit on the tight side. There are some repaired cracks, but the neck is straight and it plays wonderfully -- and quite loud.

Rodriguez Soprano - Old Salvaged Spruce & Hickory
Up for sale is this fine Thomas Rodriguez soprano made from very old salvaged woods. I recently purchased this uke from UU forum moderator eugene ukulele and while it’s very nice I’m getting pressure from the wife-to-be to thin my collection. Since this particular uke is the newest and least sentimental to me, I have decided to let it go. This one features salvaged hickory back and sides with a salvaged Adirondack spruce top. Salvaged Brazilian rosewood golpe plate, peghead overlay and bridge, ebony fretboard, gold Grover friction tuners, and mastodon ivory nut/saddle. It’s in very nice shape and has NO issues other than some strum wear on the golpe plate (this did not photograph well). It will come with an extra saddle that (originally included by the luthier) and a very nice Gator journeyman hardshell case. It’s a beautifully built uke and has the look of a well constructed classical guitar. It has salvaged hickory back and sides with salvaged Adirondack spruce for the top. Brazilian rosewood golpe plate, peghead overlay and bridge, ebony fretboard, and mastodon ivory nut/saddle. Overall, this is a sweet sounding uke. It’s one of the warmest spruce topped ukes I’ve played which could be from the aged wood or the build, I’m not sure. It just has a very pleasing sound and a nice depth of tone. Asking $995 obo plus Paypal fees. I will include insured USPS Priority shipping to the USA. Feel free to email me with any questions, thanks!

SOLD Collings UT1K Koa Tenor
As I’ve said about other recent sales, I'm thinning the herd now that I'm making my own. When I set out to build ukuleles, I acquired several excellent instruments to become better acquainted with good sound and building techniques. These have served their purpose and should move on to new homes. This UT1K is in mint condition. Simply put, there are no flaws at all. The serial number is 844. I purchased it new and have given it only slight use, never used it as a regular player but only to occasionally compare its sound to other instruments. The koa has a fine and subtle curl. The neck is Honduras mahogany and the fret board, bridge and peghead overlay are rosewood. It has been kept in its case and properly humidified. The beautifully fitted Collings case is included, of course. $1200 including shipping and insurance in the lower 48. I'll ship to other destinations if agreeable arrangements can be made.

2012 Compass Rose Koa Tenor
Purchased this Rick Turner tenor in late December, 2012. I paid over $1,800 for it. Selling for $1,350 shipped insured to CONUS only. Comes with Access gig bag which admittedly isn't the best case but it was what was included. Uke is in as-new, barely played condition. Two minor issues: there is some sort of binding issue on the headstock that you'll see in the pics, I don't even know if it's an issue per se, but it's like a small white line that runs along the binding; and there is no "S" at the bottom of the rosette. The uke came this way with both of these "issues," and I never called Gryphon about either one because I personally don't care about either- I mean, just look at the thing...

ELEUKE electric uke
ELEUKE solid body TENOR electric ukulele. $225 + shipping from TX includes gig bag and MP3 connector I will also throw in a guitar style strap (value $25) and some old school headphones This one has new strings set up for a lighter touch. Overall very good condition - it has been played some so expect a little wear. This TENOR is in the blue color. Would consider trading this for a tenor (or maybe a concert) banjolele willing to pay boot for the right one (a Gold Tone B.U.T. for example) ------------------------------- Here is a description of the Eleuke from the manufacturer: "ELEUKE IS a premier electric ukulele and is arguably the most versatile and affordable electric uke created. From traditional ukulele ballads to jazz contemporaries to heavy metal shredding, the Eleuke can deliver unimaginable sound. The solid-body electric uke sports 3 distinct jacks: headphone output, MP3 input and ¼ inch output. Unlike acoustic electric ukuleles, you can silently practice and actively hear what you are playing through your headphones. Enhance your practice sessions by plugging into an MP3 player and play along with any style of music. Use the ¼ jack for creative sessions, run the uke through an effects pedal or two and create something memorable. Whether you are a beginning ukulele student, internet music sensation or ukulele virtuoso you can find something great in this solid-body electric ukulele."

1928 Lyon & Healy Shrine Ukulele, Model 5330
Outstanding example of the Lyon & Healy Shrine Ukulele, Model 5330, circa 1928.  Pretty much as it came from the factory.  No repairs, and just a few marks in the finish, most of which can be buffed out (by an expert!) since the finish itself is in great shape.  This one seems to have lived most of its life in its case. Speaking of which, the original hard case is included — also in good condition. Price includes free shipping to the mainland US. Add $25 for shipping to Hawaii or Alaska. If you’d like to see more photos take a look at eBay, where it’s also listed — at a higher price!

Here is a very special and rare ukulele. This is one of the first KoAloha Ukuleles (NOV 1996 stamp inside on heel block) to be produced by Alvin Okami and family. A first generation soprano with the original label! This ukulele features an ALL KOA construction. Koa neck, fingerboard, bridge, and bracing. Single panel front, back, and sides (one joint at neck/ upper bout not at lower bout), create excellent resonance and sustain. The back is arched and has a defined radius. There is just something special about this first generation of instruments. They are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially in good condition. New Worth Brown Strings. It includes a Guardian hard case w/ humidflier and meter. Free shipping to ConUS (48 States) $715.

SOLD Vintage 1920's/30's Kamaka soprano pineapple
Selling my vintage 1920's or 1930's Kamaka soprano pineapple. When I got it, it had a big, open crack on the soundboard and the back was out of shape and separating. My luthier closed and cleated the crack and shaped the back so it now is aligned. From the back repair there is a section where you can see glue. I mentioned a possible neck separation to my luthier but he explained that it is Spanish heel neck construction so that it is stable. It also has some scratches, dings, and a gouge which can be expected from a uke this old. I am including the vintage case as well as free shipping within the continental US. See the pictures for images of the crack, glue, neck separation, & case.

Vintage Martin 5K soprano
Offered here is the most sought after of C.F. Martin soprano ukuleles, the fabulous style 5K. This instrument is being offered at a discount because the neck and back of the headstock were refinished. The Martin stamp on the back of the headstock is shallow which is often the case following a refinish. However, the stamp is there as you can see in the picture, and the stamp on the inside of the sound hole is clearly evident. If any of the rest of it was refinished it must have happened a time long ago as there is a small bit of pick/play wear on both sides of the fretboard on both upper bouts as shown in the pictures. Whatever parts of it may have been refinished, it was very tastefully done, clearly professionally. The are no cracks or repairs, the rest is all original including the hard-shell case. Grooved Grover no.76 barrel tuners; According to Tom Walsh and the late great John King in their book “The Martin Ukulele, in 1921, “the release of the 5K allowed the Martin company to proclaim itself the maker of the finest ukulele in the world.” “Fewer than 750 5K ukuleles were manufactured in total ……all between 1921 and 1938.” The instrument has the typical high grade figured koa wood top, sides, and back with a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard. Pearl inlay on the top, back and around the sound hole as well as for the finger position markers and the scroll “torch” in the headstock. Instruments in this fine condition, un-refinished, will cost in the area of $15,000. Here is an opportunity to own one at a substantial discount.

Vintage Regal Tiple
This Regal tiple belonged to my 98 year old mother. It is likely bought in the 1929s or 1930s. It was restrung and the bridge repaired by Ukulele Dick here in Santa Cruz about 6 years ago, and he looked at it again this week. The action is good, there are no cracks, the original seams are tight, and just a few scratches on the side. It's still in excellent condition but Rick found a place on the fingerboard where it is slightly loose. It only affects the tone past the 12th fret on the lower courses. If you are interested, I could have Rick repair it or you could have that done yourself. We'd love to find it a good home!

Makai MK-90 Soprano w/Bag
Makai MK-90 soprano. All solid mango, rosewood board & bridge, bone nut & saddle, and open gear tuners. Purchased from Mim's last year. I had an issue with a couple of unseated frets that has been professionally resolved. There is a small blemish on the bout of the body near the bridge by the G string. I tried to photograph it as best I could. Comes with a very basic gig bag and cheesy but effective homemade humidifier. Griffin Soprano Ukulele and hard case
Selling a Griffin Ukulele #12 made in 2011 but bought in 2013. I had a Fishman Passive Pick-up professionally installed at guitarsolo in San Francisco. This is the pro type to his acorn ukuleles and it is made of maple and has a thin body. It currently has Aquila Red Low-G and Fremont Blacks strings on it. It is the only one of its kind since he made the acorn Uke shortly after so I'm still on the fence with selling it. Such an amazing Uke and the only one of it's kind made by Brian Griffin in the world!!!! It's so thin it feel like it's apart of you as you play. It's pretty amazing!!!! The white hard case has backpack straps and also cost me over $200. This also comes with coastal strings and aurora strings as well. Some more specifics: Top: Sitka Spruce Sides; tiger stripe maple binding, dark fabric, back: carved, concave tiger stripe maple neck, walnut peghead plate, quilted maple fretboard , bridge and heel cap; Ebony dots top and side, mother of pearl tuners, black ,friction Strings; multi-color Aurora/Aquila This is a standard size and shaped soprano uke except its sides are only one inch high. It has a concave, carved fiddleback maple back which contributes to its rich sound and surprising volume . It had a role in the development of the "Pinecone" design. This one is built to survive in a back pack. One of a kind in this world!!!! $500 in CONUS

SOLD Price Drop!!! Pono ETSH-PCC Cedar & Macassar Ebony Tenor
Selling my Pono ETSH-PCC tenor. Solid cedar top, solid macassar ebony back & sides. Koa bindings, abalone rosette, slotted headstock. These sell new for $1119 (http://www.theukulelesite.com/pono-macassar-ebony-cedar-pro-classic.html). A crack developed this winter but I took it to my local guitar tech and he rehumidified it and cleated the crack so it won't get worse. In the picture of the crack below, the crack is the long white stripe on the right...the other white stripes on the left are scratches...the flash makes them look much worse than they actually are. There is also some slight separation at the butt end seam...it has been this way since I got this uke in May 2013. Due to the crack and separation I am hoping to get $400. I am including the hard shell case and will ship for free within the continental US.
