New Listing 2015 Steve Grimes Deluxe Custom Tenor SB Quilted Maple - Ameritage Case
Steve Grimes Deluxe Custom Tenor with Sunburst finished Quilted Maple with outstanding looks and sounds. It is in mint, condition, as received new from Steve Grimes. When Steve sent it to me he said, “if this uke doesn’t knock your socks off, send it back.” He was right. In full disclosure, there is a tiny builder finish flaw on the back of the headstock, not really an issue. There are no dings, scratches or damage. This is one of my best ukes. I should sorely miss it, but I’m reducing my collection. Currently, it is tuned linear B with Oasis Brights on the E & A and wound strings on the G &C. It sounds amazingly warm, clear, crisp. Warning: I may not be able to part with it. Features : • Master Grade Quilted Maple body • Sunburst gloss finish over Entire uke • Curly maple Wood binding and purfling on top, back, peghead. Rope + B/W/B purfling on front body. New Listing Kala KA-ATP5-CTG 5 String Solid Cedar Top Tenor Ukulele + LR Baggs Five.O Pickup & Custom Hard Shell Case
*Cosmetic imperfections* Up for sale is a used Kala 5 string solid cedar top, laminate acacia back/sides tenor ukulele with an LR Baggs Five.O active pickup and perfect hard shell case/humidifier. This instrument had a harsh winter and developed two finish cracks on the top and bottom bouts as photographed. Checked with a couple sources and it is largely cosmetic, due to moisture in the wood shrinking and expanding the high gloss finish was effected. I have it humidified and protected properly now and it's stable. My mistake is your gain, the instrument itself goes for $300, and the pickup + install another $200, not to mention the custom case that fits 5 strings. Asking $250 + actual shipping ground. Truth is this was a keeper, but unfortunately these days I am finding myself back at just playing mostly with regular re-entrant tuning. Pease feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks

New Listing Hoffman Custom ML Style Koa/Cedar Tenor Ukulele
https://www.theukulelesite.com/hoffmann-ml-style-custom-cedar-top-koa-tenor-hmlt2027.html - I am letting go of some nice instruments in an effort to get down to a collection that I can realistically play with regularity. I bought this Custom new (a rarity for me as I generally have had good success buying used) from HMS. The setup is perfect, and I am very picky about playability and intonation up the neck. I also have a used Boat Paddle that I originally bought here on the UU Forum for $600.00. Due to shipping in Winter, it arrived with so much checking, I decided to send it to Jerry Hoffman and he did a complete overhaul on it. He replaced the top, used his newer bracing system, converted the neck to bolt on, and refinished the entire instrument. It is now similar structurally to one of his new Hoffman ML's with low level trim/bling, and original Boat Paddle headstock. Here is Jerry's last email comment to me before sending it back: Jerry Hoffmann Mar 16 Hi Kevin, Your ukulele is done and I’d say it’s better than new. Total amount for new top, refinish and rosette is $920 and I’ll send a PayPal invoice for that amount. (I also converted the neck to bolt-on which is better than the original glue-on). If this all looks good to you I can ship on Monday. It was a pleasure to upgrade an older uke that I made—thanks for the opportunity! Jerry So my goal is to sell one of these, whichever one sells first, I will keep the other and close the thread. I honestly doubt anyone could tell the difference sound/tone wise in a blind test. The main difference comes down to high bling level vs. low bling level. The features I personally love the most about Jerry's ML design are the body shape and access to the higher frets, and the proprietary nut he designed. This unique nut allows you to use practically any combination of strings without having to worry about the nut slots. I have had these instruments strung in standard high and low G, DGBE, dGBE and 5th's - CGDA. It is the most flexible design for experimenting with these different tunings that I have seen. I am asking $2000.00 (net) for the Custom and $1100.00 shipped for the Boat Paddle. Photos of the Boat Paddle were taken by Jerry. If you want to see more detailed photos please send me an email. For photos of the Custom, please check the HMS link Please PM me with any questions or requests for more photos/info. Thanks for looking, kevin

New Listing Kanilea K2 Super Concert
I'm selling my Kanilea K2 Super Concert. I love the sound and the feel of this instrument but I'm looking for a smaller, concert scale instrument to play right now. This instrument was build 5 years ago, but I recently upgraded the saddle to Kanilea's latest design to maximize volume and tone. It has a professionally installed pickup and has a nice, easy-to-play 2.5mm fret hight. Custom Hoffmann Tenor Ukulele
(C.2015). Mint. Beautiful Hoffmann Tenor Ukulele handcrafted by Jerry Hoffmann of Hoffmann Lutherie of New Haven, Missouri. Jerry Hoffmann Biography The Hoffmann shop is located in downtown New Haven MO, a small Missouri riverfront town about 50 miles west of St. Louis, Missouri. He began building instruments in 2005 while he was still publishing the Blacksmith’s Journal, a monthly publication that covered architectural ironwork and artist blacksmith techniques. By 2007 he was building instruments full-time. Before the Journal, he owned a blacksmith’s shop that produced hand forged architectural ironwork for the St. Louis Missouri area. His education is in graphic arts and he worked for Typographic Sales, Inc. designing special fonts for photo typesetting machines until 1976 when he opted for self-employment first as a farrier, then blacksmith, then publisher, and finally as a luthier. He has made over 300 instruments, using many of his earlier experiences to refine his instrument building techniques. This beautiful Hoffmann tenor ukulele was handcrafted from master grade Western Red Cedar wood for a warm and well-rounded tone and the back and sides are of the coveted Brazilian Rosewood, one of the world's finest tone woods available on the market. Gorgeous bloodwood top and back binding with a matching bound bloodwood sound hole, a Brazilian Rosewood rosette, Macassar Ebony wood fingerboard and bridge have all been handpicked with a subtle but elegant theme of the instrument. The neck has been carved from Maple wood and includes a bolt on for added structural integrity. Hoffmann Lutherie also employs a short neck heel for easy reach in the higher positions. Matching Macassar Ebony wood fretboard binding for smooth play up and down the neck. Gorgeous top, back, side, and headstock purling lines give a nice definition and highlight the counters of the design of the instrument. Mother-of-pearl matching position markers on the fretboard for quick reference. The tuners are Gotoh UPT Planetary geared tuners with black buttons for precise tuning. The Brazilian rosewood back and sides, combined with the Western Red Cedar top, give this instrument a true resonant tone. Nice crisp and clean tones all the way up the neck with balanced lows and a nice mid-rage as well. Excellent clarity, wonderful sustain, and projection as well. Price: $2,700.00 Please email for sound file.

Martin Style 1 Soprano (1950's) - Very Clean
I'm cleaning out my closet so up for sale I have a very clean style 1 Martin soprano from the 50's. It's all original and comes with the cool Geib chipboard case which is also very clean inside and out. There are no flaws to speak of on this uke, no chips, dings, major scratches (through the finish), etc. The neck is straight and plays beautifully and the tortoise binding is in very nice shape too. This is one of the louder vintage Martin sopranos I've owned and it's also warm and woody with that signature mahogany bark. A very nice vintage uke that needs a new home! Pics Here:

KoAloha KCM-00 Concert
I got this uke 18 months ago new from KoAloha. My original developed a crack in the neck that was not repairable. They lived up to their warranty and sent me a new one. There is next to no wear on this uke and it is in mint condition. It is a factory second (as was the one that cracked), but I have no idea why. I could not find a single flaw on it! Since this model is pre 2016, it still has the koa fretboard with the crown detail at the bottom and KoAloha engraved in the bridge. IMHO, they don’t look as nice anymore, but everyone has different preferences. The KoAloha warranty follows the uke, not the buyer, so if you ever had any issues they would take care of you even though you are not the original owner. Uke crazy hard case shown in photos is included in the sale. Pictures can be seen at: https://photos.app.goo.gl/f9oAzI3piBC6p3no2

(C.2015). Mint. Beautiful custom Josh Rieck tenor ukulele handcrafted in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with the utmost attention to detail and a focus on tone. J. Rieck Biography Seeing luthierie as a beautiful crossroad of music and visual art, Josh Rieck began studying the craft in 2002 at Minnesota State College – Southeast Technical in Red Wing, MN. After graduating with honors from the Guitar Repair and Construction course he moved back to his hometown, Aberdeen, SD and started String Theory Musical Instrument Repair and Custom Construction, performing guitar repair for local music shops while also beginning to build various acoustic and electric instruments. Because of the local demand, Josh also began to work with violin family instruments while studying double bass performance degree at Northern State University. Double bass studies continued in 2007 at the University of South Dakota under Dr. Rick Rognstad, at which point the business also moved to Sioux Falls. After completing his masters in 2009, Josh went full time in a newly expanded location in Sioux Falls. During the 2012-2013 academic year, Josh studied the history of musical instruments at the National Music Museum. As of 2016 the name of the business has changed to J. Rieck Lutherie - this reflects the shift in focus to primarily new instrument construction. ---------------------------------- This beautiful custom Josh Rieck tenor ukulele was handcrafted of curly Hawaiian Koa wood top, back, and sides. 2014 John Kinnard Tenor Ukulele
(C.2014). Mint. Beautiful John Kinnard Tenor Ukulele handcrafted in Fallbrook, California with the utmost attention to detail and tone. John Kinnard Biography Nestled in the foothills of northern San Diego County just inland from the coast, sits the small village of Fallbrook, California. Known for its mild climate and laid back lifestyles, artisans of different genres cultivate their craft inspired by the beauty of the valleys and mountains that surround the town. One such artist is John S. Kinnard, an "old school" luthier who has established himself as a master of his trade in a day when CNC machines cough out "cookie cutter" parts to be assembled like a child's puzzle. Working out of his one man shop, John arguably builds some of the finest stringed instruments in the world by hand. He does them one by one - molding and shaping the parts and assembling them to create instruments that not only look stunning when completed, but also possess something that the mass produced instruments lack - the soul of the luthier. John has been building guitars, mandolins and ukuleles in a career that has spanned more than forty five years and is best known as the luthier behind the Dell' Arte brand of gypsy style guitars played around the world. Like many artists, his creativity spills over into other mediums including oil and watercolor painting and also jewelery making - talents that have served him well in making him the luthier he is today. From painting he developed an eye for proportion and style. From designing and making jewelry it trained him to look for the smallest flaws and build with an attention to detail that has become the hallmark of his work as a luthier. When people talk about the construction of his instruments the one word you hear more than any other is the word "clean". Building with superior materials together with top shelf construction and attention to detail, you end up with a beautiful instrument. Add in the soul of the luthier and you end up with an instrument that is something organic and very special. That is what John strives for in every instrument he builds... ---------------------------------- This beautiful custom John Kinnard tenor ukulele was handcrafted of East-Indian Rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce soundboard. It boasts a dark reddish-brown rosewood fingerboard and bridge with a matching rosewood fingerboard, top and back binding, and matching end graph. Accent line rosette. The double carbon fiber reinforced Honduras mahogany wood neck has also been stained to match the color hues of the East-Indian rosewood - a very elegant feature to this instrument. Professional Planetary 4:1 geared radio tuners for smooth and precise tuning. A beautifully handcrafted custom ukulele with great ease of play, comfort, and tone. Excellent projecting, sustain, and clarity. A wonderful instrument handcrafted by a skilled luthier who finds excellent balance between aesthetics, function, and tone. Price: $1,800.00

Vintage SS Stewart 'Professional' Tenor Guitar/Baritone Ukulele-1890's
I have a very interesting late 1800's SS Stewart "Professional"model tenor guitar that is strung, tuned and played like a baritone ukulele. It was originally listed as a baritone uke but someone more knowledgeable said it is really a tenor guitar. So that's what I know. I play it as a baritone uke and it has an incredible rich full sound as you would expect solid spruce and mahogany over 100 years old to sound! And it's not fragile either, very solid, extremely playable. I never thought I would sell this beauty but I have my eye on a nice Brazilian rosewood uke, so I need some cash. $1100 OBO. I have lots more photos with higher res. PM me for more. Thanks for looking. Here's some details from the person I bought it from: This is a very rare 1890's S.S. Stewart 'Professional' model baritone ukulele with it's original factory case, in excellent fully original condition. These are next to impossible to find today, and one still in it's factory original finish and trim with it's original case and in this kind of outstanding overall condition even more so. The instrument has a spruce top with mahogany neck, sides, and back. Ebony/bone bridge, bone nut, rosewood fingerboard with 3 MOP dots, brass frets in excellent condition, and rosewood head stock. 31-1/2 inches overall length, scale is 22 inches, upper bout is 7-3/4 inches, lower bout is 11-1/4 inches. Body measures 3-1/2 inch thick tapering to 3-1/8 inch at top of instrument. Original tuners still work perfectly. Has ebony bridge pins with MOP inlay. The instrument has ladder bracing, black and white ivoroid binding top and back and 3 ring sound hole binding as well as black inner sound hole binding. Original S.S. Stewart label on front head stock. I have had this Ukulele for many years now, and when I bought it, I bought it from the original family that had owned the instrument since new. There are no cracks in the body, just some tiny dings and light scratches here and there. There is one longer light scratch in the back, but it is not deep into the wood at all. There is some age crazing in the clear finish over most of the instrument, and the back of the instrument shows fading as well as age crazing in the finish. Intonation is excellent, the instrument plays true all the way up the neck with no buzzing or off key 'clunkers'. The string height at the 12th fret is approx 5mm. The sound of this instrument is exceptional, thanks to the 120+ year old aged woods. Rich, full bass, nice balanced mid-range, and wonderful high end with the beautiful warm tone that only age and time can give a great instrument. The instrument plays easily with it's narrow neck (width at nut is 1-1/8 inch). Has it's original black alligator embossed chipboard case with flat leather handle. Hinges and clasp intact and working well. I just installed a brand new set of Martin M630 baritone Ukulele strings, clear fluorocarbon, which are E-.0220, B-.0251, G-.0340, D-.0350. This instrument has clearly been exceptionally well cared for over it's entire life, and is proof that having a case to keep an instrument in makes all the difference in the world over a great number of years. I have truly enjoyed owning and playing this fine old instrument for many years, it is one of those rare instruments that sounds great both acoustically when playing alone as well as through a miked sound system when playing with other musicians. People have always commented to me what a beautiful sounding instrument this is. The instrument is very well constructed and still very solid even after all these years, a true testament to the outstanding quality of the S.S. Stewart brand. The early S.S. Stewart instruments are simply incredible.

TENOR SCALE FLEA in Walnut w/cutout Rosette, a hard to find Uke.
* Pictures can be seen at:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/cX3rSY4LN6VxEKPw1

Here's something that you don't see everyday.

Magic Fluke at one time offered a Flea in the Tenor size. This is quite the find as I have never seen one of these come up for sale, and the only reason I have it was because I have had several conversations with one of the members here who casually mentioned he had one that he was willing to part with.

This is the Walnut Rosette model which is a laminate with a really nice rosette with cutout designs.

*The upgrades and modifications are as follows:

* This has the wood fretboard instead of the standard plastic one.

* This has the strips on the back to keep it from sliding off your body as the back is plastic and is slippery.

* I will be providing a nicer upgraded case with it.

The following were modifications made to the Flea.

* Geared tuners have been installed on it instead of the friction ones that come with it. (These are not the Pegheds that are an option on the site.)

* A plastic strap button was installed on the bottom, which can be easily taken off. If you keep it on, you cannot set the Uke down on it's flat bottom as it's no longer flat.

* One of the things that I also modified on the Flea was to reduce the overall size of the neck. I was never happy with this as I thought it was too thick and squared off for the overall size of the body, and took it upon myself to get this modified. I have used a very well respected luthier in Portland for a number of repairs and modifications, and after discussing this with him, I had to him do it. He did a fabulous job and you would never know any work was ever done to it. It looks great and and it has a much better feel to it than it did when first got it. (This is my opinion.)

The only thing to report is that the tuners were put on in a very thin area of the sides of the headstock, and if you rub your finger against the front of the tuners, you can feel that they are not perfectly symmetrical, but are on securely and cleanly and does not affect tuning at all. You really can't tell just by looking at it. (If you've seen my posts at all, you will know that I am very detailed in my descriptions so you'll know what you are getting.) It's not new but in terrific condition.

This Uke was formerly owned by the one and only Booli, a well respected and legendary member of the Ukulele Underground forum with lots and lots and lots and lots of technical experience and it was he who made this Uke so special.

I do not have any pictures of the work done on this Flea, but the following link will shows the work done on one of my other Ukes, a RISA Stick, where the neck was shaved. *The job was interesting, so I had him take pictures of it.

https://goo.gl/photos/z4m5NzBEQ8jAoayE9

Thanks again to Todd of Portland Fretworks for his wonderful work.

Price is $385. This is quite the Uke and difficult to get. Shipping is $30 in the CONUS. Anything above this I will cover. Pricing this out on the website and adding the modifications put this uke at over $550.

I have never seen one of these come up for sale during my time here. Don't hesitate. Check out my posts and see my reviews. Have confidence doing business with me.

Thanks for reading.

Kala Rumbler Fretted U-Bass - extra stuff - and this is a GOOD ONE
Kala Rumbler Fretted U-Bass – with gig bag- strung with black Pahoehoe strings – will include silver Rumbler strings it came with (I don’t like them, I use headstock straps) – I installed a strap button on heel of neck (which I don’t use) – and will also include a Kala Uke Crazy strap (not a fan of it). All in excellent shape._____LONG STORY AHEAD-SORRY_____ I bought 2 Kala U-Basses. This one was for a stage backup. I really don’t need 2 of these, as I am back playing uprights and Fender 34” scale electrics half the time. My other U-Bass is a $600 Spruce top. This Rumber is every bit as good. Maybe better - as the tops on Rumbers are more stable than Spruce._____ Every gig I play with these U-Basses people are blown away by the sound/tone. They want to come and touch the strings. This bass is a GOOD ONE. Here is the LONG story. I bought a Rumbler on-line from Musiciansfriend. I could not set it up properly – so I sent it back and got another. I did not like that one either as far as setting up action - so instead of returning it to Musicansfriend, I sent it to Kala to set up or exchange for a better one. They sent it back after saying they set it up – and again I did not like it. I wanted it to play like my $600 U-Bass. SO- I sent it back to Musiciansfriend and got my money back._____ After all that- I had a gig in Seattle, and found a person that bought this Rumbler brand new and had $125 worth of setup work done to it (frets and action). He wasn’t really a bass player and bought this Rumble on a whim and spent all this money getting it setup._____ Okay – so now I own it and cannot really stand the Silver Rumbler Strings. I spent $30 on buying some new Kala black Pahoehoe strings (the original shiny black ones). I have those on my other U-bass and like them better than all the other strings made these days for U-Basses. (personal choice). On these original black strings I can slide a lot easier. I can get more an upright tone with them, somewhat fretless action because easier to slide, and also a tuba-ish horn midrangey tone with them. I will include the original silver rumbler strings._____ The eq panel and pickup on the Rumbler is just as good as the more expensive ones. They are the same (volume-tone-tuner). The battery panel is on the bottom and these use 2 CR2032 nickel sized batteries that last forever as long as you unplug the bass when done playing. U-Basses are cool because when you push the tuner button you kill the volume output so you can tune in silence. For live playing I use a Snark clip on tuner. It’s faster than the built in one. But I do hit the tuner button on the bass to kill the output volume while tuning on the Snark._____ I hear all kinds of U-Bass complaints about them not staying in tune. You get used to it. About every 3-4 songs I stick it in tuner mode and it takes 5-10 seconds for me to get it back to pitch. Not a big deal and the price you pay for an upright tone on a 2 pound bass._____ Check out Paul McCartney and his 1963 Hofner Bass (same one he played on Ed Sullivan in 1964 that he still uses today). That bass has a floating bridge and is nightmare to stay in tune. He bends notes to pitch…funny (as he could afford to buy all the bass companies in the world and still loves the tone of his old Hofner). He even has an old Boss TU-12h tuner from the 90s that he uses. Funny guy- and a great guy._____ So don’t believe all the negative hype on U-Basses. They are super cool for most all styles of music. I am in an active working trio and the styles I use U-Basses on are: Blues, Jazz, Finger Funk, Motown, Hawaiian, Soul, Ragtime, TinPan, New Orleans, Beatles, Western Swing, Blue Grass, etc._____ If you have Facetime and want to hear it and see it – we can do that, too. I am in California and want to NET $300 after any fees like PayPal and shipping._____ On another note- I have some other cool things to sell. Let me know if you have interest in any of these:_____ 1. Arthur Godfrey Baritone Uke (he called it a Lute), it's the cool one with big block inlays, and it's 21" scale. In excellent shape, set up great, and is already a huge collectors item._____ 2. Silvertone solid mahogany Baritone Uke (from50's). I spent hours setting it up like https://antebelluminstruments.blogspot.com/2012/09/c1955-silvertone-by-harmony-baritone.html ( I didn't use pins, I drilled holes and tied knot under bridge). These are far louder and more tone than old Martin Baritones I have had. I also stuck Grove Sta-Tite mechanical tuners on it - and will include the original friction ones._____ 3. SUPER WORLD CLASS BASS AMP FOR U-BASS. It's a Gallien-Krueger MB150E-112III 150W MicroBass Combo Amp, with the 12" extension cabinet, and 2 GK gig bags to carry each cab. This is one of the most widely used bass amp setups in the world for upright players, and I use my vintage Fenders through them, too. It is the best setup for a U-Bass. The XLR direct box line out is world class. We did a gig and the sound guy was union tech that was on the Paul McCartney sound crew. I ran the GK into his gear with the U-Bass. He loved it! Really is a great set up. _____ 4. I have a 1983 showroom condition Fender P-Bass I am selling. Hard case. Extra pickguard._____ 5. 1953 reissue Fender slab P-Bass. Gig bag with extra pick guard._____ 6. Martin Soprano Style O from 50s-60s. Loud and punchy and great shape._____ 7. 2005 Fender Jazz Bass - hard case- sunburst with extra pickguard. _____ 8. Ampeg B100r Rocket Bass Amp- studio use only. Motown vintage tone. Sheryl Crow uses one when she plays bass.

Nearly new DaSilva Thin Body Tenor - Spruce/Koa
For sale is a Mike DaSilva thin body tenor with a spruce soundboard and koa back and sides. It is nearly new, completed in August 2015 (number 375) and sold new to me five months ago. Since then, it has been kept in a custom-fitted Oahu hard case (will come with the uke), with a humidifier, and in a smoke-free environment. I play fingerstyle, so there aren't even strum marks. It came with a tiny chip on the abalone rosette, which you can feel but not see. Otherwise, it is like new. The only changes from the original are that I had strap buttons professionally installed, and I replaced the G string that came with it with a Fremont "squeakless." It is set up for low G but of course could be switched to high G. A feature I particularly like is the flat fingerboard, which makes barre chords way easier for me. Like its siblings in the DaSilva family, it is beautifully made, very playable, and sounds gorgeous. I am offering this at 25 percent off the original price, with free shipping anywhere in the U.S. I will ship it carefully, fully insured, with the strings loosened and a humidifier in the case.

PRICE REDUCTION: 1996 Kamaka 8-String White Label Koa Tenor
Hi, I'm considering selling my 1996 Kamaka 8-String Koa Tenor. Please let me know if you are interested. Mine has some honest playwear around the soundhole. The strum area that goes thru the finish to the wood is really just finish checking that has flaked away. There is finish checking throughout, but is mostly concentrated on the soundboard area. It has a flat fretboard and SMOOTH pearloid geared tuners. It is in overall good condition with few nicks or dings. There are no cracks, seperations or repairs. The bridge is set firmly and the neck joint is firm. When I put a straight edge on the neck the gap in the center of the neck "8th fret" between the fret and edge is 1/2 mm. The action is 1/8 inch at the 12th fret. NO CRACKS OR REPAIRS. I currently do not have any way of providing a sound sample, but this one sounds great. I've played the heck out of this one and hate to see it go. There's something really cool about them. They almost have a bluegrassy, mandolin sound to them. It's all fun! Comes without a case but I have a lot of practice at double boxing. I can include a case and add it to the price at cost if desired. I had just retired and need to sell a lot of my stuff in preparation for a move to a smaller house. Thanks for your time! Price Reduced to $675.00 shipped. PAYPAL Friends and Family. ...US Only

(www.charguitars.com) This instrument is in excellent condition. I now play mostly baritone ukuleles and the Weisssenborn guitar and have decided to try to find a player who would enjoy this instrument. I am asking $1,000.00 PayPal family and friends and will include shipping in the CONUS.

Riggio Koa Tenor Ukulele
Sound Sample @ Dropbox.com

Video Sample @ Dropbox.com

A beautiful Riggio Koa Tenor ukulele, hand-built by master craftsman Phil Riggio. As you probably know, Phil has a reputation for building beautiful sounding and great playing instruments with an ear towards a true vintage sound. This example is no exception. It's fully crafted out of koa, with a mahogany neck, and has the sweet, yet well-defined, tone that is common with these traditional woods.

The instrument has been very gently played and is excellent condition. It's currently strung with Aquila Lava strings that highlight the warmth and clarity of this ukulele. As a nice touch, Phil included his sand-inlay on his less commonly done slot headstock, with Grover Sta-tite 18:1 97-18 tuners. Hardshell case is included.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
